Think we can trust that nutter rag? I wasn't suggesting we restart the GL. Was thinking more along the lines of us turning back research on in the near future (when we can afford it) and going back to swapping techs. Just thought we should be feeling out the Greeks on keeping the Science Alliance alive in some form or other.

I see no reason why we shouldnt get building the GL once we've got rid of KISS, even if not just for us its very useful and after we're falling behind in science and tech we really need to get back on par.

well what have we got to tell the Greeks in this message. i know we should thank them for the gold and Strider and I want to honor them with a city name, so we could ask them for names they want to be honored with (honoring them cause of the gold), but what else is there? just tell what else to write and i'll make up a message.

Maybe ask them to describe the gallic lands for us. Also asking them for their thoughts on the galls weak points etc.

See if they think the gallic lands across the sea from us would be highly defended?

i think we should wait until the war is over before we start renaming cities, tell them that we will rename a new one when the cities are rebuilt, it shouldnt be a new one no matter how hard it is to spell.

It would be worth more relation wise to the Greeks if it was Grenadeopolis then if it was any new city, and personally to us other than the the actual naming it makes little difference.

I bring good tidings from across the sea. We have managed to successfully repel the Gallic Invasion. Many battles were fought, but in the end, the Galls lost 3 Gallic Swordsmen while we lost only 1 Pikemen and 1 Immortal. With only a half dozen enemies on our continent and our Southern forces moving up North rapidly, we will soon put an end to the Gall's invasion force.

However, my people are still angry with the Galls for attacking us out of the blue, so we want to give them a taste of their own medicine. We plan on mustering an invasion force and attacking them on their own land. We want them to lose cities and feel the pain of war themselves. We were hoping you could help us with this endeavor. We know you can't fight them directly, but you can provide us with invaluable information. For instance, could you describe KISS's homeland, or tell of any weak points in their defenses? Do you think their lands would be highly defended, after sending many units overseas in their surprise invasion? Any information you can provide would be immensly useful.

Lastly, my people have decided we want to honor your people with a city name on our continent. After your generous gift of gold recently, my people want you to have a city named after your people in the Greek fashion on our continent. Some suggestions we have are New Athens and Missing In Action, but we thought it would better to name the city after what the Greeks themselves wanted. So, please tell us what city name you would like to be honored with, and when our next settler band settles down, they will dedicated the city to the Greeks with a name provided by you.

I wouldn't ask for chivalry yet. If they give it to us now then it becomes that much cheaper for the Galls and Iroqi to research it. We don't need the knights just yet. We don't even have any ships that can transport units to Gall.

We should ask about the science alliance. I think it would be a good idea to ask if they are still planning on researching to education now that the great library gambit is off. We need to know what to research when we put our wise men back to work.

Also, we need to evaluate the Alliance of Science. My people still want to keep it alive and coordinate our research efforts. We are also interested if you are still interested in the Great Library Gambit and whether or not you are researching towards Education. So, things we need to figure out is which team will research what in the future and if we are still going to go ahead with the Great Library Gambit.

I played turn 119 and sent engineering to the Greeks with accept. They are building the Colossus in Athens. Let's ask them if that's what they are really planning to build.

We have reached Athens. They can load that gold on our curragh.

the colossus thing, maybe ask to what extent they know of the KISS area, for instance do they know of a patch of land which is close enough to our island on the eastern side of their island. Also perhaps we should question how the science alliance should continue.
