So, I imagine a fair number of us have some form of internet addiction. What are the sites and tricks that you think are essential to anyone who wants to navigate around and know the web like a pro [or nerd/addict]?

I frequent CFC, Cracked, the Onion, BGG, TV Tropes, Amazon, Youtube (of course), NYTimes/538 during election seasons... Cinemassacre and Screwattack for extra gaming-related videos and such.

CFC
Reddit
Google reader, for extremely fast consumption of information, tailored to your preferences. I have about 150 blogs in my Reader and probably spend upwards of 50% of my time on the Internet in Reader.

Google, Wikipedia, and StumbleUpon should bring you to some interesting sites.

I'm not a big internet addict, but I admit I do get hooked on cracked occasionally. I normally hit the news sites.

CNN is the news site I spend the most on, I also check out Drudge and Fox news to get their side of things. And I hit the review journal for local news. Between those sites and CFC (and occasionally youtube and my email), that's about all I do on the internet.

Computer games on the other hand.... I need a 12 step program for. :(

Why did no one mention facebook? You can post all sort of crap all day long and can comment others people posts on their boring life.
I guess the real addicts either frequent sites providing pornography or online gaming.

The fact that you can play Dominion online, for free, on Isotropic is a major time-sink when I can't get to a board game night.

Also, I'm not on Facebook or any other social media site. This is as close as I come.

I use google reader, youtube and a bunch of internet forums.
