i am an experienced war general (all byzantine Emperors after 1890 were required to be a great general) so, in defeat or victory, i am likely to suffer very few casualties. how many men does the invasion force have?

Sorry, I was away from the computer for a while and just saw this. I didn't realize I'd end up in so many wars. If any of my territory lost in the past week will be given back to me, I'll officially withdrawl from all wars. Is this even the right thread for this?

I'd say a good 500,000 men. I have 1.3 million. 300,000 are in Boston, so late leave me with 1 million. I'd still like to keep the peace (and protect my flank and such) so I'll only send 500,000.

500,000 is good. if you win this battle, the forces will find out what the capital is, take the land surrounding it and besiege it heavily. there is no way Sparta would win.

but that leaves you with 500,000 to guard the borders and internal areas. forgive me President but that seems a tad thin. i hate to be a bother or a nag, but there is 4 million perfectly good strong Byzantine men who were previously in the military.
