(Next Update) All nations are invited except for the European Union Nations who will only be able to come when they end this war immediately. THE METIS CHRONICLE

FOOTBALL LEAGUE​

An announcement has come in of a brand new sport being created! Our people are beginning to set up a team for a brand new sport that is like rugby. In 4 years, they plan to form a North American League where games will be played every year during the summer months. From what we can see, it is a technical sport and is not like football everywhere else. This sport is complicated and is not just kicking a ball around a field like it's name suggests. Basically, all North American Nations have been invited to contribute one team minimum to this league. They have four years to make one and train it with the rules that are being given to them all. This has been John Macrae, from the Metis Chronicle.

War has struck Europe again! On June 30, 1840, the European Union formally declared war on the nations of al-Andalus and Paris-France.

OOC: A point of order as per the old DoW rules in I&B1 all nations must post that they support this DoW publicly in this thread or have sent a PM/post in the alliance group to the GM supporting this, else it should not be considered valid. i.e. no one nation can DoW on another nation or nations(s) on behalf of someone else.

Any Joint Declarations require confirmation by each player either in the game thread, social groups or a PM to the GM.

You have not listed the individual nations who are DoWing. Nor have we seen any acknowledgement from the GM to this DoW, in order to know who are the full combatant list, so that any ally response DoWs can be issued.

Also, See comment from one of your supposed allies below, which indicates all is not as it seems. Hence why I called the point of order here.

After the EU's plans for the invasion of Al-Andalus were leaked many nations began to see what the EU really was, a power hungry, colonial, danger to the stability of the whole world. Due to this 6 nations signed alliances with Al-Andalus to help fight the eventual invasion.
On June 30, 1840 the inevitable Decleration of war came gaining international condemnation. And-so the alliances were called upon.

Alaska, 1840​

On this fine morning in 1840, Alaska will gladly announce that its regency is over. Nicolas I was sworn in as monarch of Alaska and Hawaii earlier today. As the war in Europe has gripped the western world, Nicolas has stated that he will see to it that Alaska remain neutral in the war, even if it spreads to the North American continent.

There was record attendance for the coronation, as at least 500,000 people showed up in Anchorage to attend the ceremony. Nicolas' speech captivated the nation. Here is his speech:

"Alaska, here I stand before you today, to guide us to being a powerful, wealthy nation. I promise you, that when I have passed, Alaska will be a regional power at the very least! While it is true that it will be a tough task, I assure you, we will make it. While my father was successful in expanding this grand nation, I will strengthen it; far beyond that of any other nation in the Americas, and far beyond that of any nation on Earth! I also plan to strengthen the workforce of Alaska by re installing serfdom. But, I will make it that all serfs must be payed with at leas 2 % (it will depend on how many serfs there are) interest to all serfs. I will also grant the people the right to vote on common law, tax rates, declaration of war and for election of the parliament. I also extend this right to women as well. With these acts, Alaska is becoming a unique nation, as it is the first to grant women the right to vote. I am also granting women the right to education and to own land. We, as a nation, are moving away from the regressive actions of Medieval Europe, and into a new, more modern light. I thank you, for accepting me as your King. May God bless us all."

The Russian Empire

Tsar Nicholas I, is hereby announcing its neutrality in this war and has started formal proceedings for the FAR to be suspended from the Council of Mutual Defense. As the Tsar has indicated all along, we have been opposed to this direction in Europe from the beginning, so this announcement should come as no surprise to anyone.

The Metis Council, hereby announces its neutrality in the war of France, Paris, and Al-Andalus versus the European Union. We condemn the French Algerian Republic for starting the war but have no wish to partake in the war. We will not defend the aggressive actions of the French Algerian Republic.
