Kansas does it again....

(2) Sexual contact without penetration (oral sex, e.g.) should always happen with a condom, as the risk of accidental unwanted pregnancy is real, albeit low.
I'm skeptical toward that contention, do you have a source?

Wasn't there that lady that gave oral sex, and kept some in her mouth, and after the man had gone, scooped it out, and usedit to impregnate herself?

I'm sure such an article was psoted on CFC.

This isn't an issue in only Kansas. But of course, we're all medieval barbarians over here, so picking on us is OK.

.

Really? I havent heard that before...and of course, since I was given abstinence only sex-ed in high school, we didnt talk about that sort of thing anyway.

I thought sperm couldnt live very long outside the body anyways?

well, ok...but I was thinking...you know, "accidental" pregnanies. Storing sperm in your mouth and sticking inside you later isnt an accident. I was thinking more along the lines of sperm gets on a bed, which gets on your hand, etc etc.

Oral sex while using a condom seems especially repulsive to me. I cannot see a way of getting anyone to agree to that (without paying them). Eww.

I dunno.
I've got a theory, but it might not be moderator-friendly.

Not medieval barbarians, but there's certainly a lot of fundie nutcases involved in educationnal boards in Kansas. And they are loud ones heard all around the US. People here are not simply picking on people from Kansas, but on the idiots down there trying to shove their moral standards down everybody's throat. If they want their kids to be little abstinent christians reading the bible daily and studying "intelligent" design, they can do like your parents and have them home-schooled.

Anyways, you can spread STDs through oral sex, so a condom still has a benefit there - there are more dangers to sex than just pregnancy.

Use of a condom is the surest way to prevent oral sex, I'll agree to that.

:vomit:

noncon-what the hell. PM me, and I'll start checking the internet. I'm kinda curious

I've never had oral sex, but the idea of using a condom for that just sounds gross. Come to think of it, wearing a condom when one is doing anything other than actual sex just seems akward...surely there are other ways to prevent accidental pregnancy

Eh.
1) Kansan teachers weren't banning the teaching of evolution. If they wanted to indoctrinate children they would have promoted one theory at the eradication of another.
2) My parents did not homeschool me for that reason, just for clarification. They saw the ineptitude of government-run public education.

Go read post no.22 by Stegyre in your ID thread. He explains pretty well why ID taught in science classes is a bad idea.

Kansas isn't all bad, they just joined 46 other states in passing a concealed carry law.

Looks like Nebraska will be 48th.

Any guesses as to who the final two are?

New York prohibits what most other states allow, and, um, Massachusetts?
