Mythos Cults & Monsters

Thanks!

There are some Mindflayers in Final Fantasy ? Some were introduced in Dragonlance, in the D20 era (as Yaggol). I might mod a little my old, neglected but cherished Ansalon scenario.

There are Mindflayers in FF4 and according to the Final Fantasy wiki, 1, 5, 12, and Tactics.

Maybe a mage type unit for the Dark Warriors?

They look great!

Thanks, Amadan.

It's like I'm requesting something from myself. :crazyeye:

Probably the funkiest preview I've made since the Lambeosaurus. Couldn't use magenta as transparency because of the purple skin and couldn't use the usual backup fluo green because of the tattered robe.

There was also something that looked like a mind flayer that was a mini-boss level random encounter in the "Terra" area of Final Fantasy IX as well... I'm thinking I may have to replace my advanced barbarian unit (troll) with one of these instead, especially with the epically hilarious scenes involving the FFI mind flayers in 8-Bit Theater:lol:

Is that an issue that will affect the units32 or just the preview ?

It shouldn't be that problematic. The range of magenta is limited to one color in the units_32, so purple colors from the units_32 should preferentially be converted to a purple color, provided there is a purple color in the units_32 palette.

As I've probably forgot to make the actual units32, if it's really needed, I can unrar the archives and make them myself..

Btw, it isn't for the preview only, all FLC have the yellow range as transparency colors.

Yes, I suppose my way of working (not previewing, lot of spur of the moment units) doesn't help you guys with your plans.

For Modzilla at least, it has helped tremendously in evolving the mod, as well as spurring me into action at times when I've gotten lazy. I see your units as a very welcome challenge of trying to see how they would fit. :)

Well, the 1.5UPatch team for AoW:SM has snatched the Illithid from the BG series.

I am only doing part of the campaign, but here's a still of how they look when you use them as Ood (from the Doctor Who series). This is just an artistic rendering, you won't find this in a campaign or custom made map.

I second that in every detail. As for the Cthulhu looking like the Ood - that's Oodly appropriate.
