New NESes, ideas, development, etc

Wait- You mean Dr. Robotnik is in too?

:D Haven't heard that in a long time.

Well, I am going to put this NES in the trash for now. I have saved everyones entries, and thank you for making them. I will create something from all of your collective writings in the future. For now, though, I am too obsessed with another idea and I can't abandon my "traditional" fantasy roots in a sense. Besides, like I said, I think those of you in other space sci-fi NESes might find a better time focusing on those. My heart just isn't in this one right now. I hope I haven't offended anyone by this, after all the writing you did, but it was not in vain (trust me). I just have to be honest with myself about it instead of continuing to try to get interest in my own idea, and then being a lousy moderator.

D:

Could you send me over your notes for the character and nation rules? I'm thinking for something after Christmas, when I can make maps for stuff with CC3, which I'm hopefully getting.

Haseri: sure! Give me some time to put it all together. Most of what I came up with so far involves jobs for characters, which I'll put in any fantasy NES I make, but you can use that concept any way if you would like.

Okay, everyone. I am bringing Sekai back sometime in the near future. I have posted the pre-NES thread here. It is considerably different than the last Sekai in terms of environment and atmosphere, but the rules are more or less the same. This is sort of my "dream NES" so to speak, something that I had been writing up for a long time. Well today I had the heart to finish it, and try a NES out based on what I truly want to mod, and not just creating a NES on a whim, as I did with Shattered Space. Though, I'm glad that wasn't in vain because I will give Haseri the necessary info for him to start up Shattered Space or something similar on his own.

Anyway, hope you all don't consider me a flake or anything - I may have an overactive imagination - but this NES is truly something I have wanted to do for a while (and those that played the last Sekai probably know this).

Best,

kkmo

I am going to be running a new NES, starting most probably in the next few weeks.

The NES is centred around an alternate, classical world. The game focuses on empire building, conquest, trade and classical colonisation. The players must struggle for control of resources to fill their coffers, but also to arm their men and grow their cities as their enemies plot against them and the threat of barbarian invasion ever looms.

Naval supremacy will be key to establish colonies on distant shores, and to deny your enemies this privelage, as well as to support your land forces as you carve your Empire and force the vanquished into slavery.

---

I'm working on a rule set and map, both of which are almost done so more details to come in the next few days.

I missed out on your last one by not voicing my interest fast enough. IN.

Hmm, a tentative in from me, Ekoz

@Ekolite, consider me in. Sounds interesting.

@Ekolite

I'm also in. :D

Oh, well, have fun then. :(

I have nothing better to do with my life, so I was thinking of starting a NES, but I've gained a sudden obsession with RPG's, so I was thinking a character driven story NES, based on X-men. Yeah I know it sounds lame but stick with me, I don't like X-men I've only seen the movies which sucked and never read any of the comics, but I thought that the social situation of mutants was extremely interesting, and intriguing, the whole mutant registration laws and oppression and the resistance and hunting them and so forth, it was really rather intriguing.

So I was thinking that people could play as mutants with no relation to the X-men because the X-men suck except Wolverine. Map would be North America for the most part, foucsed on the US.

I would do updates and such with actions people do, there would be NPC actors like the government, private lynch mobs, resistance groups whatever yeh, and there would be random events and the government would do stuff and so forth and orders would basically be a story and summary of actions. It would be pretty opened ended you could start a rebel group, go on a rampage with your powers, or fight people that go on rampages, start a mutant mafia, Whatever.

So it there any interest for something like this? I'll flesh it out more and post a pre-thread or something.
