They're exelent Bebro, be best used in scenarios though as apart from playing as the egyptians I've only ever built about three chariots in civ III as they are useless for both warfare and exploration and are quickly replaced by horsemen.
Please Bebro
consider any Asian Chariots. The Chinese or India would need some.
Think I saw some picture on this forum on the Chinese (Qin) Chariot. The asiatic needs them more than the very similar Mid-eastern countries.
I know the Indians used Elephants but they did have chariots as well and so did the Chinese.
Indeed, there is no Assyrian chariot in Steph's upcoming conversions (unless there's an Assyrian unit in the full game, which I don't believe he has).
As far as I understand, BeBro's got the following chariots in the pipeline:
1. Celtic Chariot (in the works presently)
2. Assyrian Chariot
3. Possibly a Pecheneg/Hussite/Wainrider War Wagon in place of the Sumerian "Chariot," if I actually get my act together and find some more pics for riptide (?) to make a model of.
4. He had mentioned making a Persian chariot, perhaps, but that seems to have been dropped in favour of the Assyrian and War Wagon units.
After that, I believe BeBro's asked for about three months breathing space before he'll accept any more chariot requests! I would be very excited about Indian and Chinese chariots, but unfortunately I think we'll have to wait on those...
Awesome chariots. Chariots will run amuck in the ancient days.
I alway boost chariots attack and make their defense a 1 so they are effective in attacking, but if atacked they are at a disadvantage. For example my chariots have an attack of 4 when other units are only at 2.
They look pretty great, but I think the horses in the death anim are kind of stiff. It's not detrimental, but I'd say, have their necks flail a bit more or something as they fall, the just look like plastic. The 2 guys riding the chariot are kind of stiff as well, but less noticably, I think the head of the one falling back is the nice sort of minor tweak the horses need.
That's not how Mycenean armor looks although it's an awesome unit you made for a greek chariot(sadly they didn't use them). They actually did find ancient Mycenaean armor and it's exactly as Homer describes it in the Illiad. Here's the website: http://edtech.floyd.edu/~lnewby/mycenean_page.htm
These both are my favorite chariots. But until now I didn't notice Aluminiums resized versions of them. I'm afraid, now I have to download the resized versions too. Danke nochmal.
