New Zulu's Mega Unit _32 w/ Conquest.

Steph, if you actually make some unit_32 icons for your Cossacks and American units, I'll add them to the version I'm releasing soon. Presently, I really can't be arsed extracting 200+ anims as pcx files, selecting one frame, changing to size and then copy & pasting But if you make them...

Use Adobe Photoshop or Jasc Paintshop Pro and copy & paste the icon into those pink squares which are on the units32.pcx.

Hey Moblilize!
Do you have to use one of these two programs?
I've been trying to update the conquests units32_pcx file with something different. If I save the file such that the layers are all merged into one, Conquests crashes. If I leave the layers unmerged, the game will play, but the .biq editor won't work.
Any thoughts?

Howdy, all.

So I've been reading like a champ for these passed couple weeks, and I must say, you guys know your shizzle. And I have downloaded many of the resources you have all provided, so I would just like to say, "Thank you, from the new guy."

One thing I'd like to ask: is there a FREE program out there so I can add units to my units_32.pcx file? I got all these blank boxes thanks to the fella who put all those units on that really large PCX file, but every time I try to copy and paste stuff, things go haywire. Adobe Photoshop and that Paintshop Pro are too expensive for me. I just want a free one that will do what I need for C3C. Any links or suggestions?

just a point on units_32 icons: they should be done using the first frame of the default flic with red as the base color. the most important thing is that red is used as the base color. that way the pallete remains constistant and the proper colors will show up in the build queue.

Thanks for posting this big meaty unit32 file.

Yeah, this zulu unit32 hasn't been updated since before play the world came out so there are no new units on it at all. However, it has lots of open space on it to save you the trouble of extending the pink with many copy and saves. I think its better to copy empty slots over all the antiquated science fiction icons and other weird stuff you don't need so icon selection is easier once you're in the editor. Copy & paste icons onto the unit32 is very easy with paint shop pro and only takes a few seconds to do each one. I'm thinking I might post my unit32 here which is zulu's but updated with weird stuff blanked out and napoleanic era units from like aaglo, dark sheer, embroyodead, smoking mirror, kinboat's pandas and what not added on. I'm only modding napoleon conquest right now so this may not be useful to other peeps.

I'm thinking I will most probably cook up a whole new unit32 from scratch so it only has stuff I need on it in one tidy little package. If anyone else is modding napoleon conquest only and is interested in it, maybe I can post it here or something.
