Seems perfectly reasonable to me that the cult would be able to determine if someone can be converted. It's a fairly typical cult ability as far as I'm aware.

We're not lynching Choxorn today by the way. I can absolutely guarantee that either he proves himself tonight or dies tomorrow.

Here are my thoughts on the popular candidates so far:
ATPG: Has come out of the gates hot and heavy, really trying to push the discussion his way and to influence the game, and not necessarily to anyones best interest but his own. This is typical Pizza, and happens fairly often when he is scum. Immortals is a classic example of this behavior. I never trust Pizza, but I especially never trust him when he is pushing hard to get his way. Lame meta-reasoning here? Probably. But you would be a fool to ignore it.
That said he has come down from his high horse a little bit, and I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for at least a round or two. But I am certainly wary.
G3TC: He always self-votes. I usually oblige him and vote for him as well, since this is an extremely annoying habit of his. It does absolutely nothing to tell anyone anything. It only draws unnecessary attention to him, which if he is town is counterproductive, and if he is scum is stupid. One of these days he will be scum though, and the right move will be to lynch him. In the absence of any other cases I would advocate his lynch merely because of this poor tactic. Seriously Celt: Stop doing this. I know it is your thing to do, but it is completely detrimental to the innocents winning the game.
Choxorn: From what I know from the thread and private discussions, I am inclined to believe his side of the story. Besides, there are ways of testing his claims. I will give him a pass until we get more information/confirmation on his abilities.
Kennigit: Seems very gung-ho about the eventual town war. So gung ho that he is advocating we do this first. Pizza and the others are right, we need to counter the cults first, and then work out our differences. Not doing so will allow the cultists to get stronger while the towns get weaker, and will allow the cult members to hide fairly easily while we all commit townicide. This has easily been the most scummy thing I have seen so far.

anyone down for a like Takhisis lynch?
I know I've been a bit wild this game, but people who have actually talked to me know that I can confirm myself pretty easily. There has been a method to my madness so to speak---in fact it's not really madness, just blatant over the top SW townie loyalism. All you LOTR town folk can stop pretending to care about a faux SW Town alliance when you know, just as I do, that the VC is to win by a large margin.
But, to give fairness to choxorn--although I still think his claim seems really dubious, it does seem he can be kept under control for a night. At least until a SW Townie could confirm a similar ability, or he can give a result. That would go a long way to proving his claim more trustworthy.

We all know at the end of the day, little Aragorn is going to swing by and night kill me or some other SW Townie that people will make up some reasoning about "well he looked kinda cultish amirite?"

Well unless you're SW town there is no explicit reason. You're achieving your VC. If people want to vote along party lines, that is fine. I can offer to be a matyr for the SW town if SW townies want that to happen too. Organising all 12 SW townie members or however many there are is easily worth my life on paper, even though it will cost me Major victory and total victory.

Last thing I have to say publically in the game thread (contact me otherwise) is that name of role shouldn't really matter all that much. My role has nothing to do with the name of my role. Indeed, obviously the plot lines of SW and LOTR are not going to match an online game of mafia where cult conversion can take place.
Like when generic LOTR townie #9 gets converted to a cult there's no plot driven aspect of "Oh well Sam can't be cult because he's Sam!"
