Public Nudity?

I have seen women go topless for no reason NOT during the gay pride parade or working for a strip club. A certain neighbour of mine LOVES to use her right during the summer on early morning jogs. My neighbourhood doesnt have many kids (though it has two schools ) so nobody minds. Except the really catholic family, but they just shut up and turn the other way.

The main problem is most people who will walk around naked aren't the people I want to see naked. I'll admit to walking around my own apartment in my underwear or nothing at all, but in public you have to think of the children, who aren't emotionally mature enough to see either sex naked. In this case you have to revert to the lowest common denominator.

Kids can handle it. It's just skin and hair, when you get down to it. I know very few who haven't seen other people naked, and they certainly have seen themselves naked, unless you chain them to their clothes. In truth, clothes generally only accentuate the lines of the human body anyway, so it's not like clever people can't imagine what's underneath anyway; kids in particular, who you seem to be worried about, probably don't really care. Young kids don't know what's public and private discussion in our restrictive world anyway: they'll often be jabbering on about their private parts in a very public place, with embarrassed parents trying to shush them.

I think the kids are actually more able to handle nudity than adults. It's the teenagers you have to worry about, if anything, and I think we can handle ourselves.

Well, school shooting is out. But something strapped at wrist or knee could still be bombs, yet you can't see if it is some protection gear or something else.

It wouldnt eliminate shootings and bombings, but they could introduce a nudist line at airports, where you get through security a lot faster, as they know you arent hiding anything under your ski jacket.

Are you kidding? Kids love to be naked! I can remember being about 5 years old, and getting the brilliant idea of taking off all my clothes in the middle of a church service... not the brightest idea. I was rather well known for running out in public naked, or stripping down whenever I could until I was about 7 or 8 and had it yelled out of me by various adults.

In any case, I really doubt being naked would bother children much.

I don't know if that bother us too much as to discuss about legalizing it at a municipal level but I can tell you that in the beach I used to go (Zarauz) I saw nude sunbathers. They used to lay in one end of the beach, not separated by any wall, wire or warning signs at all, close to a restaurant owned by a famous cook who used to have a TV program where he taught how to cook. Sometimes he cooked at the porch outside the restaurant with that particular part of the beach in the background. Nobody spotted a nudist in his TV program, though.

I have never heard of anybody being arrested for being naked in that beach, so I guess that I was allowed, or if it was a law against, it wasn't enforced.

I haven't been around the mediterranean beaches in a long time, but I have heard that topless sunbathing is pretty common over there.

It's not illegal in Slovenia. It's illegal to urinate in public, or behave immorally (whatever that means). So technically you could get fined because behaving in contradiction with good public behavior. But that rarely ever happens, as nobody walks the streets naked. There is plenty of nudity on public beaches though. Whole lotta young women are sunbathing topless. When I was on vacation with my ex in Greece and Slovenian coast, she was always topless and nobody looked weird at her.

Another example, Since some years ago some PETA phychos protest naked during the festivals of my hometown, the world famous sanfermines. They always do it and nobody cares, it is another tradition of our festivals, along with the running of the bulls, the bullfighting, the riau-riau, the pobre de mi and so on. If you have the parental control off and you don't mind seen them, just search for PETA sanfermines on google images.

In fact nudity is strictly legal at any public place in Spain: beach, park, town or even streets. In fact it is one of the most nudity friendly countries in the world. The city the OP is referring to is Barcelona where going nude is not only legal (as at any point in Spain) but where the city council itself has said specifically what being nude at street is perfectly OK.
