In the Apostle unit menu, what does "Start Inquisition" do?

What does "Evangelize Belief" do?

I'm playing Gandhi and he can use all beliefs of any Religion in his cities, so I don't necessarily want to eliminate other Religions. In fact, Gandhi wants as many minor religions as possible to take advantage of his unique abilities. I'm not sure exactly what his unique abilities related do, so any explanation of them would be appreciated too.

It's a long watch, but he perfectly explains how religion works in this video. I was so confused until I watched this. I only post a video because it's too time intensive to type it all out.

When quests of city states are changed? For example there is a quest I am not able to complete - how many turns do I need to wait for new one?

If a City-state has no current quest for you, it spawns a new one when you enter a new era. So far as I can tell, the quests have no expiration timer and so they remain until you either complete them, or until completion becomes impossible (say they asked you to gain a Eureka for Sailing, and then you teched Sailing fully without a Eureka--then the quest clears and a new one will spawn at the next age). On the other hand, if they ask you to generate say, a Great Writer, I think that quest will remain forever or until you DO spawn a Great Writer.

In my current game the Spanish has troops in my land but I have not given him open borders.
We had an Alliance at some point. He moved in with his whole army at that point. but it expired and I did not renew it. He did not take his troops out,
We are declared friends but I have not given him Open Borders in any deals (I double checked) What is happening? (We are not at war either LOL)

As I understand it, declared friends have automatic non-expiring open borders, until you are no longer declared friends.

A alliance does not expire; one of the parties to the alliance must do something to terminate it.

ahh- the alliance sign is not on the leader head in the top right and I can renew the alliance so I thought it expired (as it says it lasts for 30 turns) but that would explain it. Did not realize that declared friends also made automatic borders. Thanks Sun Tzu Wu

hi everyone. Does anyone know how to make the view change to where the action is. For example if i take next turn and there is some fights between other countries going on and i have a scout stationed there so there is no Fog Of War, i still dont get zoomed in on the battle. the screen just shows ur homecity or wherever it might be. in civ 5 the battlecam folowed where the battle is but here it does not. Can u fix this with some option or is it a game issue?

please help if anyone knows, cuz half the fun of the game is watching others fight :)

Do any one have crash in late game , mine is in 365th turn , actually at the end of it. And how to work around it ?

Is the city ranged strength the same as its defense strength ? (number indicated next to the shields above city)

It does this every time you load the auto-save?

No. City ranged strength depends on the strongest ranged/melee unit produced. Having a garrison helps too.

Defense depends on you building walls and encampments. Your city center can't actually attack without some form of city walls. Once those walls are gone the city itself loses the ability to bombard units.

Is there a lens or some other way to clearly see enemy units - i can't really see where are enemy units without looking really carefully and slowly. Since AIs declare joint wars like crazy i would like to see fast and clearly if they are around my borders or somewhere in my territory. Since i'm sometimes almost blind, i would like to have this lens. Did anyone mention anywhere something like this?

Yes it did, but I found what was the problem, so I conquer France :) Game now works fine :) But still late game sucks the AI is far behind me in tech and civ

Is there a simple way to add music from civilization iv and v into civilization vi existing pool. Since i love all the soundtracks i would like to have them all in my games. I know i can't add "all" the sounds but i would like to add typical generic different era songs. I was reading some thread about custom music but i felt it was too complicated to do something like this?

what triggers appearance of barbarians ? in my game it was all going well, about 8 cities, ahead or thereabouts in most things, and then two other nations declared war on me. since i was ahead on most things, they weren't too hard to knock down a peg. one only had 3 cities so i took 2, the other around 5 and i took 4. both every single turn tried to make peace but they always wanted me to give back one of the cities id taken plus a bit of cash so i kept refusing. weirdly this meant the whole world thought of me as a warmonger, even though it wasnt me who'd declared war.

anyway i was down to one city each of the 2 nations when i noticed i didnt have any money, was at 0 and losing every turn. tried to rectify this by manual placement and stuff. and then it let go some of my army, and all of a sudden there was dozens of barbarians all over the shot, i mean over a dozen barb troops all over the place all of the same advancement of my best troops.

so was this just random? or because of my negative treasury? or because the treasury issue meant my army disappeared? or because of unhappiness of the other countries?

just wondering so i can avoid it in future, now ive spent about an hour of turns just trying to battle barbarians and not thinking about anything else. feels more call of duty than civ.

Are all those Great Prophet points lost/useless once all prophets have been claimed? Seems odd that you gather points all through the game for something that is over and done for by the end of the Classical Age.

what triggers appearance of barbarians ?

My guess is that you gathered enough war weariness for cities to revolt. If people are unhappy enough, they will rebel against you, and those rebels appear as barbarians.
