Rant: On recommendation from a friend I picked up X3: Terran Conflict on Steam yesterday. Today, when I check Steam, I discover it is on sale for $10 less.
WHY STEAM?

Less than a month ago I had to go to jury duty. I went, didn't get selected to be a juror, had 1/2 a day off work. Pretty boring and unproductive.

Yesterday when I got home I got my mail, and guess what I got? Jury duty summons

I've always wanted to do jury duty. Not sure why.

With my luck I would get tapped to do some trial with a gang so I'd spend the whole time worried if I was going to get capped afterwards

I got jury duty last year. Then I got really sick with my current predicament, and had to request postponing.

Half a year later, I'm still not in ideal condition in terms of my health, so I had to request another postponing again, which was granted.

We'll see how I do next time rolls around.

Two very unrelated rants-
I'm talking to the girl I have a crush on, and something's clearly bothering her, but she won't tell me and is barely talking to me.
And the dog my grandmother adopted about a month ago has apparently had lung cancer since before we adopted the dog.
This day went from good to **** in the span of an hour.

It all depends on time and mood.
If something pressures you too much, then you'll need to talk to someone, and if then someone's there...then you'll get to know it.

And yeah, the whole thing sounds pretty depressing :/.

The "and is barely talking to me" is the more important part of that rant, I know she doesn't always like to talk when something's bothering her, but all I could get out of her when I was talking to her was one word answers...why is it that whenever I want to do something (in this case, just talk to her cause she's one of the few people who understands me), no one else seems to want to?

Doesn't have anything to do.
If I'm really exhausted (not physically, but mentally), then my mood drops and I really don't want to talk. Then you sometimes don't even get an answer from my, besides nodding/shaking head.
So if you caught her when whatever bothered her just happened, then you just might have caught her in an exhausted state.
Try again today, if she's still down.

So, the plan for Saturday/Sunday:
- go with a friend to the hardware store to take care about my really crappy floor (looking, buying; measuring already done)
- write a shotlist for my short film (due to Monday)
- write the dialog for my short film (due to Monday)
- write my sister a plan for her holiday when she comes to visit me (next Saturday, no time in the week)
- get the freakin' draft version of a paper to my colleague (promised Saturday/Sunday)
- produce some results for that draft version (...okay...I had 13 hours at work today, and didn't succeed...)
- groceries
- sport on both days
- cleaning up the apartment (mmhh...maybe next Friday, before my sister comes)
- small festival Saturday evening
- relax

That's in the order of likeliness that each item happens.
I might have a problem with time planning...


EDIT: Maybe I'll cut down the slep from the weekend pensum down to the week pensum :/.

Why are the 5 and the 6 which they use for the date of expiry so similar?
One month overdue.
