This planet really is a small place - I was talking to a girl tonight who was taught by a man I met at a wedding last year on the other side of the Atlantic. (about 3,000 miles / 5,000 kilometers away)

The poster "Love" lives within a 10 kilometre radius from me. I never knew he existed before I joined CFC.

My school uniform in summer from years 7-10 was, I kid you not, Steve Irwin's normal apparel.

Yep. I didn't get to have a go at it because my teacher wasn't qualified enough to supervise. But most of my year have had their gloved hand arm inside a cow.

The Orange Crush Saga has finally come to a close.

Basically, he left her for another woman. About a month after, I fell for her again. Now, she's trying to get back with her ex (who is still taken by the girl he left her for).

I deserve better.

That's more fo a rant than a rave, but anyhoo...

I just got started making vanilla extract! The only two things I don't like about it are 1) it takes over a month to be usable once you start the process, and 2) I had to wait a few days for the beans to ship--you can't just walk into a grocery store and expect to be able to buy a large amount of vanilla beans for anything approaching a reasonable price.

I hope it turns out well.

Finally done...what a nightmare...still have to do a paper proposal on something from economic history that I have sources on, that'll be a ton of fun...then maybe four hours of sleep if I'm lucky. Insert ragged cheer here.

Basically, I had a huge crush on a girl, who I always referred to on here as "my crush" for some reason. I ranted incessantly about how she had a boyfriend. Because I referred to her as a crush for more often, someone tagged the Random Rants thread with "crush is an orange soda", which evolved into "orange crush".

Now, I'm raving because I finally realized that I deserved better.

EDIT: Another rave: The past few weeks, I've been having nuclear war dreams. The rave is that they've all taken place within that DEFCON game, even though I've never played it (have watched youtube videos of it though).

I'm going to the Fine Gael (main opposition, centre-right) party Ard Fheis (annual convention) this weekend. I'm going with the branch from my University, though I'm not a member. It should be interesting. I don't really sympathise with the parties views all that much, they are pretty much a less corrupt alternative to the current government. I just want to know what sort of people go to these things and what exactly happens there.

This post may be revised to a rant by the end of the weekend. I'm not entirely sure I'll enjoy the experience.
