Reason number 4,785 of why I like living out in the Stix: Wildlife. Two young deer have been grazing around the house for the past few hours, and got pretty close to the house at one point. The cat loved it. Brings back memories of a place on the Blue Ridge Parkway where deer would eat Cheetos out of your hand.

I like deer, but not in my yard. They get into my plants, especially around the bird sanctuary. Found out couple years ago they don't like rosemary and won't even walk over it. Moot point now. They quit coming when the landowner behind me started letting people shoot back there.

True, but with some deer spray, the deer have left the flowerbeds alone. Also, we don't have a bird sanctuary.

But part of the reason why deer like it is because we've set up a no-hunting zone. About five years ago, someone shot some deer from the roadside, their bullets fired in a direction goes dangerously close across a river towards someone else's house across our back river. We thought it was too dangerous to be shooting there, so we grabbed a video camera, and recorded the hunters dragging the deer into the truck and driving away. A few days later, we met them in court. Let's just say that the case was our local game warden's first big break, and that our land is now the area where all hunters, aside from our neighbor, fear to tread.

Finally, some snow.

As a bonus, I got the big, fat, wet, sloppy snowflakes too where I was, even though I was expecting the whole storm to be just boring tiny snowflakes.

I went to my girlfriend's house tonight when her dad had a ton of Japanese people over. It was really interesting to hear them talking, but a few times I could tell they were talking about me. But dinner was good and the evening was fun. It was an interesting experience though!

Yeah! One of my friends is a veterinarian and I went with him to the villages today. I couldn't tell exactly what was going on but it involved him putting his hand and much of his arm up the cow's rectum and I think he inserted the injection in the vagina but not certain really. I think the hand in the rectum had to do with pressure on the uterus or something. Actually I did see him do an injection in the cow's rump or backside, whatever, so maybe that was it.

Makes me wonder how they do it in humans.

I got really muddy too, all dirt roads in the villages and it had rained.

There are literally no guys my age at our church anymore. It's all kids 12 and under, and 5 girls my age. I feel very alone.

Fortunately, we have some friends from Alabama moving up to where we live, and hopefully they will start going to our church. Also, my friend-who-is-a-girl's family is in the process of looking for a new church, and I'm trying to get them here.

There's only one guy as old as me in my Church and he doesn't come much, and one person a bit older than me. Other then them I'm older than all the people who aren't adults there.
