I've been working bloody hard so I thought bugger it, I'm having yum cha. I grabbed a few people from work and we demolished a huge feast from 11am to 1pm.

I got a little drunk and figured why not parlay that and decided to go home to bed instead. Just got up and it's 5pm.

Nah, not at your age. You gotta do a big Asia/Europe mission on the cheap, living a bit rough and extricating yourself from trouble first. Earn your stripes so to speak. Then when you're older and cashed up you can splurge in style, besides, splurging is more fun when it doesn't leave you in the poor house at the end of it.

whelp I have an interview for an internship position yay! Also unsure how many candidates there are for the position, since the oncampus interviews is just 1 day.

yeah that's pretty much the primary thing about gatech that is good. georgia tech is very very good at having companies come for on campus interviews/career fairs/the georgia tech career portal is good. This is from the gatech career portal--I didn't apply through the company website.

@TK - your University doesn't do any on-campus interviewing? That sucks brah.

I got called into work to sort out a message we had recieved from the records center. I sent some boxes of files over there 6 months ago and today they emailed my boss saying they were going to destroy some stuff.

I got a panicky email from the secretary that said basically, I have no idea what records they are going to pitch OMGOMGOMG help the bossman wants to know what's being pitched it could be important!

I got all panicky too because I thought it was this big deal and that I had misfiled something or forgot to fill out some forms because I was posting on CFC all day every day at that time.

So I go in and look at my paper records. In 2 seconds, I find exactly what records they are tossing and why. My paperwork was perfect and it turns out the secretary is just a moron. Oh and as for the content of what was being destroyed - well you see our secretary is pack rat.

I mean a pack rat. She once went dumpster diving to retrieve papers that the bossman had thrown out after she refused to and he had told her they were not to be saved. So anywho, she kept buying these little mini-filing cabinets and filling them with garbage paperwork. So they had me toss most of it when she was on vacation and send the rest to records management just in case.

Well it turns out the records people went through and found the records and determined that it was garbage and they informed us they were going to pitch it.

So not only did I do nothing wrong, but the boss ended up getting a laugh when I told him about it.

I went from panicky to laughing out loud in a 5 minute span, which is always rave material.

Can't wait to quit that effing job though.
