BTW, I had to edit this one (the desert well) as it is 4 pixels too wide. This one is 52 pixel wide and the game will only display 48 pixels wide, 49 minus the right most column which is never displayed.

Actually, you can do 50x50 resource graphic without any problem at all. The top and left transparent bars are parts of the displayed resource. Just draw over it and enjoy 99 new pixels to play with.

52 pixels wide is still too much, though.

Actually, actually, the editor displays them without any problem. The game only does 49x48, without any bars at all. Oh well. I wonder where that missing column went.
