RIP Stormin Norman

Retired General Norman Schwarzkopf died Thursday. He was 78. CINC-CENTCOM in 1988, he became victorious Commander of Coalition forces in Desert Storm. At retirement he declined invitations to go into politics, God bless him.

I was standing in formation at his Change of Command when he was the outgoing commander of I Corps and Fort Lewis in July 1987.

Amazing man with a remarkable military career.
