The Russian army is increasingly dependent on the supply of dual-use goods from China - US intelligence

(Auto-translated):
The supply of technology and equipment from China is playing an increasingly important role in supplying the Russian army. This is evidenced by the report of American intelligence. (https://democrats-intelligence.house.gov/uploadedfiles/odni_report_on_chinese_support_to_russia.pdf )

The report is in the public domain and is mainly based on information from open sources and press publications. It concludes that the PRC is becoming "an increasingly important bulwark for Russia in the war." According to the report, China supplied drones and spare parts to the Russian Federation in the amount of $12 million.

PRC state defense companies also provide Russian military enterprises with other dual-use goods that can be used by the Russian army. These include navigation equipment, radio jamming technology, and fighter jet parts.

Since 2021, the export of American semiconductors from China to Russia has also grown significantly, despite tough Western sanctions. We are talking about deliveries worth "hundreds of millions of dollars."

The report says that China is helping the Russian Federation to circumvent sanctions, but it is problematic to assess the scale of this assistance, since Western countries cannot conduct interviews and investigations in China.

Shocking.

2 and 3. Who, other than those from banned countries, would join the neutrals? Athletes who aren't good enough to represent own country, and in that case, they most likely won't beat the Russians either.

There are lots of sports where e.g. only 2 athletes qualify per country, and the #3 athlete is better than the #1 athlete from Russia. There are already various athletes who compete for countries other than their “real home country” for qualification reasons.

One Russian tank vs Ukrainian column of 2 tanks and 6 APCs.
Thanks to artillery support, the column was completely destroyed, Russian tank got back alive.

Edit: Added the subtitled version

The obvious problem is Russian military superiority, especcialy in airforce and artillery.
Its 1.5 year and there is still no long-range ammo for artillery and modern aircraft.

I learned in Word in Conflict (the video game) that Artillery can really ruin you day.

Just in case you thought any information from Russia wasn't misleading, this video is actually from 7 june, nothing recent.

Saudi Arabia will host talks on Ukraine’s peace plan with several other countries this weekend in the coastal city of Jeddah, three foreign diplomats in the kingdom have said.

The diplomats, who requested anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss the talks, said that several countries, including the United States and European nations, along with Brazil, China and India, had been invited, though it was not immediately clear who would attend.

Russia did not appear to be among those invited. The Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, said that “Russia will keep an eye on this meeting” but would need “to fully understand what goals are being set,” Russia’s state-run Tass news agency reported on Monday.

Looks like Saudi Arabia, US and EU want to negotiate peace with Ukraine. Hope their talks will be productive, they achieve compromise solution and sign peace agreement.

Context? Are there real targets there or is this Putin being the world's pettiest man?

At least six people, including a 10-year-old girl and her mother, have been killed by a Russian missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Kryvyi Rih.
Ukraine's interior minister said 69 others were injured when missiles slammed into a high-rise building and a university on Monday.
Regional governor Serhiy Lysak declared a day of mourning for those lost.
The home city of President Volodymyr Zelensky, Kryvyi Rih has been a consistent target for Russian strikes.
In June, 11 people died and 28 others were injured in the city after Russia launched a "massive missile attack" on civilian buildings.
The latest attack saw dozens of people hospitalised, including children aged from four to 17-years-old.

This is what Russian liberation looks like.

Earlier this month, the UN said there have been some 25,671 civilian casualties since Russian launched its invasion of Ukraine last year, but the true figure is likely to be far higher.

I looked it up on wikipedia. It's a big important city that would be a target whether or not it was Zelenskyy's hometown.

Apparently there was something of a similar meeting in Copenhagen recently already.

And the format is based on the Ukranian ten-point proposal for peace:
The plan calls for:
1. Radiation and nuclear safety, focusing on restoring safety around Europe's largest nuclear power plant, Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine, which is now-Russian occupied.
2. Food security, including protecting and ensuring Ukraine's grain exports to the world's poorest nations.
3. Energy security, with focus on price restrictions on Russian energy resources, as well as aiding Ukraine with restoring its power infrastructure, half of which has been damaged by Russian attacks.
4. Release of all prisoners and deportees, including war prisoners and children deported to Russia.
5. Restoring Ukraine's territorial integrity and Russia reaffirming it according the U.N. Charter, which Zelenskiy said is "not up to negotiations".
6. Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities, restoration of Ukraine's state borders with Russia.
7. Justice, including the establishment of a special tribunal to prosecute Russian war crimes.
8. Prevention of ecocide, need for protection of environment, with focus on demining and restoring water treatment facilities.
9. Prevention of escalation of conflict, and building security architecture in the Euro-Atlantic space, including guarantees for Ukraine.
10. Confirmation of the war's end, including a document signed by the involved parties.

Another drone attack in Moscow business district.
Windows broken in an office in one of the towers. No victims. Two other drones reportedly shot down.
