Single Player bugs and crashes v35 plus (SVN) - After the 18th of August 2014

I've been getting frequent EoTCTD in early prehistoric era on rev.8390.

Also, a lot of my autosaves are now corrupted (Only new ones made on rev.8390; I updated from 8372 which were fine) not all though.
When loading these the loading hangs at initializing and when I alt+tab to desktop I see the message Unreadable Save Game - Save format not Compatible (SkipElement) [Button: OK]. Clicking the button makes the game exit to desktop.
These are not autosaves from the turns I've experienced crashes btw.

Edit: restarted my PC and started a new game, haven't had any issues yet, so there is probably not such a big problem present that I initially thought here.

p.s. Thanks Joseph - i tried your settings marathon/huge instead of eternity/gigantic i was playing last couple of years and it seems to be much more playable with those =) I even got to industrial era in considerable amount of time.

I checked (twice - manualy and by script) my latest additions to the game (units skins and models) and looks ok :/

I dunno if it would help or not, but i was going to discover Industrialism next turn when EoT crash happens (if it wouldn't crash).

Got a great doctor upon my turn; William Harvey; and he didn't have the fancy background stuff in the pop up window.
 
Well that image has terrible contrast. I literally cannot read the orange text when it tails off into the shading.
 
Then I'd really suggest changing up the contrast. The orangy-brown isn't a terrible colour, but it really needs better distinctiveness in the shaded area.
 
FYI - testing has confirmed that both modules Megafauna and Megafauna_Units and their sub folder modules are now completely optional.

You can turn them off in the MLF files in the folders. You can turn off the complete module in the Modules folder or turn off individual animals in the two sub folders.

Note while Sabretooth and Llama are currently in these folders they will eventually be merged into the core area of C2C and become non optional. Both are needed for balancing the start positions in random maps.
 
Oh, right! That's not perfect, but it's much more readable.

8396 SVN (just updated) - crash is still here. Anyone had a chance to take a look at it?
 
For sure its not a problem with MegaPack and Industrialism tech. Without megapack got crash and after changing tech to other then Industrialism got crash also :/

Im not a specialist but after checking your game I can only guest that is MAF. 10Mbs save is too much for such old game like civ4 :(

I don't think it's a MAF. It's only huge map. Also i ran 2 months ago GEM and saves were 13-14 mb and game kept running.

[edit] Just checked memory usage while processing turn - highest RAM used by civ process went around 1267Mb then game closed, so it's DEFINITELY not MAF.
 
still getting this failure, then it CTD's (mini attached( even after updating to latest SVN

looks like someone changed the "Terrain Impassible" in a clump and now this way it will not read it??
