The defaults in that folder aren't delivered by the fresh SVN checkout. Open the mod and select Play Now! Then save the game (some say twice). Then get out of that - go back to main menu or reload the mod all over again depending on how powerful your system is. When you have taken these steps, then start a custom game and set things up as you would have them. Once you get into the game you want to play, setup your BUG options as you like them as well. After you save the game at this point, those defaults should be established for you.DLed Latest SVN

After i export C2C to empty directory user settings folder only contains 'CustomDomAdv' folder which contains only 4 files. Tried changing bug options in game (with and without changing city overview list (i usually add columns with PROPERTY_CRIME, dPROPERTY_CRIME, PROPERTY_EDUCATION, dPROPERTY_EDUCATION)) - nothing is saved when i save/exit or crash game then reload it.
Figures, oh well, what's done is done.Updating from 9417 to 9421 destroys all lumberjack buildings in early Classical.
Thanks a lot. Ran as administrator and user settings were created and saved.
However, trying to edit city overview i got no luck. File customadv is being updated and i see in it columns i add, but when i reload civ, columns are gone and i have to manually readd them.
Any clues what to do with it?
Did you do something extremely unusual during this game with worldbuilder or changing options mid-stream or something like that? I've never seen such a messed up gamestate before. Nearly all groups and units are on the wrong plots to their selection groups. Trying to fix the load sequence by making a workaround just leads to an infinite stream of bugs to work around beyond that, each one potentially introducing worse bugs later. I'm pretty much thinking there's nothing I can do for this save... that something got corrupted somehow and that it's dead Jim. We had a similar problem with the first MP game but that one made more sense than this.Infact on the above mini by me it IS a repeatable CTD here is the save
Dont worry about it, i went back a few turns and it then went forward without the error . . .Did you do something extremely unusual during this game with worldbuilder or changing options mid-stream or something like that? I MIGHT have fixed a problem that was allowing this to take place though. In the last commit.
I'll keep looking but I'm getting that horrible feeling that I'm making a bigger and bigger mess to try to get this past all the hurdles to loading properly. I might end up inadvertently allowing the game to load but all units and selection groups having been erased in the process. Then who knows the fallout potential later.
Maybe Alberts might want to take a look at this. Maybe.
I'm not worried about that particular save but about running into this again and not knowing how it happens. This was a pretty nasty mess. You don't have any guesses about what could've caused it? Ok if you don't - just askin.Dont worry about it, i went back a few turns and it then went forward without the error . . .
Tested and it didn't crash so I must assume that it's your local adjustments. Try running the debug dll on your end. This is done by renaming the dll that does NOT end in .debug to something like .core. Then renaming the one that does have .debug at the end of the name so that it no longer does. Then load the game. That should tell you if and where you have xml issues.Hello,
I'm having a CTD issue with the attached save (don't mind the game itself, I just enjoy building stuff rather than actually playing Civ). I've added logging, but couldn't figure out the cause. PythonDbg.log says that there is a revolutions event in Persepolis. To reproduce:
1) Load save game
2) Hit "end turn"
Note: I have minor local changes, I also attach a patch with those changes (in .txt format, since the forum doesn't allow .patch extension). Also I attach the logs and the minidump generated upon game exit. I am running steam version on Civ from administrator. I have started a thread with an older save file / dump, it can be found here: https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/crash-to-desktop-cause-unknown.609256/#post-14632288
Thanks for your consideration!![]()
Cannot build elephant trainer while have national elephant breeder in other city. (svn should be 1419, not sure)
No, but pedia shows that i need elephants as resourse and elephant farm OR national elephant breader OR elephant herd (and tech elephant domestication). I got tech elephant as resourse and national elephant breader. So... what i did wrong? ;DHave you built the Elephant Farm in that other city yet? Gotta build that too. Your screen shot shows that you have not.

(to build elephant trainer)
ThanksNational Elephant breeder only works in the city it is built in. And you can only build one of those.
In order to build an elephant farm you need either a herd in the city, or an elephant map resource (with worker improvement and road or river connection) in the direct vicinity of the city, or the national elephant breeder in that specific city (and you can only build one).
Having elephant as a *traded* resource (as in your screenshot) will not allow you to build the elephant farm. It only allows you to build one national elephant breeder, or allow a Great Farmer unit to place an elephant resource on the map.
After building the elephant farm, you also need to build an elephant trainer to actually be able to build elephant-based units.
