Songs for the shower

You might find this amusing, but I used to sing the "Ave Maria" part of "Ave Maria" or whatever it's called in the shower. Well, the words "Ave Maria", and the rest of the verse I hummed. Slowly.. Over and over, until I was clean.

Now I have a roommate though, so I don't do that anymore.

edit: I am usually not really that good at singing, but I think I hit all the notes just right. Once I realized that I was almost spot on, I just couldn't stop doing it.

Basically 0:18 to 0:36

Tried belting out this once or twice, but don't speak Russian so likely one wouldn't understand my chosen words/sounds. Still, a damn good shower song!

I... have sung that in the shower before. Luckily I have a decent bass voice when I want to. I don't speak Russian either but I've memorized at least some of the lyrics.

Good ones! Is there such a thing so awful that it should not be sung in the shower? :dunno: I mean other than rap?

Phrossack, my army time was spent making sure that music didn't spread. ;)

Don't get much Byzantine anything anymore, so brighten your morning with these chants!

Today: Eurythmics - Sweet Dreams, but I'm singing all the time and there's no difference in my shower songs I'm aware of.

Usually crooners' hits (think Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como), with folk songs thrown in as well. I've been known to employ music from the American Civil War, too.

I stop when I start shaving, though, otherwise I get nicked.

You're good if you can do Scarborough Fair/Canticle.

If you're talking about Canticle you mean the polyphony or the two intersecting melodies? Nah, can't do that of course.

I mean plain old Scarborough Fair, the 'traditional' version. Well, I do prefer a variation of the melody. Used to think it was a Japanese invention since I found that variation on a Japanese version of Scarborough Fair, but I've just found out it might have actually been a traditional variation of Scarborough Fair (i.e. not Japanese).
