StarNES: Updates Without Number (Epoch I)

Nix that, I don't know what I was thinking. Binary stars are not aged independently, more so for gameplay reasons (you don't have to spend as much GC¤).

You should implement TerrisH's suggestion then.

Also, perhaps Rogue Brown dwarfs should have a slot or 2. There are a couple of cases of them having planets. (of course I might be getting ahead of myself. We don't know if this will happen yet.)

42 GC¤

40 GC¤ - 4 Nebulae in 1605, 1805, 2307, 2009 - cause fhuck da police

2 GC¤ - PUT IT IN A LOCAL CO-OP NOT A BANK JESUS MAN

Guess: Sector 2012 of course. You said so, you drunk, drunk man.

Brown Dwarfs, if they are formed, will have slots of 1. White Dwarfs have 2.

So, wait, yes to diamond planets?

Sweet.

Well the guy who bought them in the first place had to pay 2.5x the cost of one star, so why doesn't the jerk aging them have to do that too?

Unless it's the original creator, of course. :p

Well, yes, diamond planets may potentially exist. Hooray for literal galactic jewels.

Also: I don't want to discourage players from aging stars, and since I foresee a fair amount of binary stars in the galaxy (there are a lot in real life too), I'd rather players have to only age once on these semi-odd systems. Also less work for me.

@Eltain: Nope!

Well, it's a neutron star orbiting a regular star. In order to get it, you would have to have a star in a binary system go supernova and coalesce into a neutron star while leaving behind the other star.

Xpost with Nutra. Maybe he will handwave that.

Are you going to implement TerrisH's suggestion of rolling them independently?

Yeah, that's how it will work. Age once for both, roll separately to see if one goes Red Giant.

edit: Just added it to the rules.

I'm really looking forward to seeing what you guys are going to do in Epochs II & III.

Which is awesome!

I know there is a 1/3 chance of a planet being flung from a supernova, but I think there should also be a chance that if a neutron star remains, planets not flung have a chance of surviving the supernova and orbiting the neutron star. Of course, habitability would be nil at this point. Also, if white dwarf have 2 slots, what happens to systems with over this amount when they go white dwarf?

56GC

50GC: create a binary star system in 0402
Romeo;
Juliet

Combined name: Tragis
5GC: create a small planet in 0402 Tragis: Othello
1GC: bank

:lol: Didn't think the system name Tragis would be prophetic. :p

First there needs to be 6 large gaian worlds in the system and then both stars need to go supernova.

mayor: 35GC¤

1918 - Creatorus
15 GC Large Terrestial Planet
10 GC Medium Terrestial Planet
10 GC Medium Gas Giant

(names for planets will follow. I need to know which is habitable..... and I hate you for changing the odds...)

Just go ahead and name all of them--names will not be complied/important until epoch ii, really.
