Succession game, regent, Vanilla Civ3

Here it is ladies & gentlemen:

2950BC (IT): reveiw everything, change nothing.

2550BC (1): Pas builds warrior, starts barraks. (I hate non vet units). Warriors scout.

2510BC (2): Nothing

2470BC (3): Pers builds settler starts another.

2430BC (4): Warriors scout. Nothing south of Pers/Pas in tundra. Maybe one good sight that will have whale & 1 or 2 deer in radius after expansion.

2390BC (5): Warriors scout. England now has two towns.

2350BC (6): Nothing.

2310BC (7): Pers builds settler, starts another. Susa Founded, starts warrior.

2270BC (8): Nothing.

2230BC (9): Find Babylonians east of English.

2190BC (10): Warrior enters hut & get 3 barbs. Ouch. Settler moves into square for next city on dot map.

Current status: 1 turn from IW, 3 cities, 4th ready to be founded, Pers build settler, Pas build rax, Susa building warrior, We can get a worker from England for Masonry, running 20% lux, 70% science.

Next one up can decide on the worker and any city builds.

I heard the dogs of war howling in the distance. England does not have much time left.

Here is the save:
save

We are up Masonry on England and Pottery & Masonry on Babs. There are several dyes in the jungle NW/N of England and an Ivory SE of England (Will have to fight Babs for it).

I hope I did not let everyoe down with my first turns.

Okay, I've got my next ten.

2190 BC. (IT) IW in one, so I drop research down to 30%. Otherwise, no changes.

2150 BC. Discover IW, start writing. Set research slider back to 70%, so we get Writing in 15 turns. Arbela founded. Locate Iron NW of Susa on hill. Next settler will be sent to secure it. Pas finishes Barracks, starts spearman. We now have an Elite warrior, thanks to those Barbs that Infoman popped.

2110 BC. Pers, builds settler, starts settler. Susa builds warrior, starts worker. Can set Lux slider back to 10%, and bump up science. Writing is now 14 turns on 80%.

2070 BC.

2030 BC. Hooked up horses on my way to Iron. Now we can build chariots...Woohoo! Oh, wait...

1990 BC. Pas builds Spear, starts another spear. I send the built spear to Arbela.

1950 BC. I find Bismark. He has six gold, 3 towns and no horses. Pers builds settler, starts settler. Change of plans, decide to send spear north with settler to acquire furs.

1910 BC. Notice that English found nottingham close enough to the spot i was sending our Iron settler, that settling there would leave our city one square from nottingham. I'm fairly angry about that. Nothing we can do, though. Susa builds worker, starts barracks, bc I figure we'll need them soon. :)

1870 BC. Pop hut, learn mysiticism.

1830 BC. Pas builds spear, starts spear. Intend to found another city near iron, but the site lacks decent food. We'll need to chop, and it would be worth our while to rush a temple so that we can use this city to nab the furs.

1790 BC. Antioch founded, starts temple. Pers builds settler. Iron is now within our cultural borders.

We're five turns from discovering writing.

And the Save

Just to let you all know, I'm am back (1 day early). I can be put back into the rotation.
EDIT: I guess I'll take my turns know, seeing that I am up.

Based on the little chunk of land we can see the Babs have some incredible land to work with. Ivory, a cow, & 10 bonus grasslands around them, 90% which are on rivers.

Boys, I think we just met our first real opponent on this island??). After lizzyy gets pathetically wiped of the planet, of course.;)

1750BC: adjust science to writing in 5 turns to get 2 extra gpt. send a settler-spear pair to found a city S of nottingham.

1725: move around

1700: same

1675: Persepolis builds settler and Parasgarade builds escort spear. send a couple more pairs to settle.

1650: nothing

1625: discover writing- parasgarade builds worker. It looks like we are up writing on everyone, but they are up HBR on us and they all have contact with zulus. I start lit at 70% getting it in 19 turns with 2 gpt.

1600: found tarsus 2 aquares outh of nottingham. Barb camp a couple squares away. Iron is now connected...... :ninja: establish embassy with england. London is size 2 , growth in 4 turns, settler in 1 turn. It also expands in 4 turns.

IBT: a barb attackas a spear in tarsus. We win. Germany tells us to leave. Oops......

1575: Persepolis build settler, starts immortal (can be vetoed). Found Gordium in the area Sounth of Persepolis.

1550: We contact zulus. they are down 3 techs on us.

I decided to hold our monopoly on writing for a while, but the next ruler can sell it around.

I take it turns on me??

I'll post sometime this weekend. My online time will be lacking due to getting kidnapped for a camping trip(the ironic think is i love camping, my girl is making me go camping w/ her parents:suicide:.) Hopefully I'll be able to play before I leave.

Sorry for the delay guys!!

I'm playing now & will post shortly:D

PT- Change Arbiea from barracks in 32 to worker in 2. This coincides with the pop increase leaving at size 2 & we NEED some workers to help speed growth to match our settler output. Also switch Pars from spear to Immortal.

T1(1525)- Nothing much. Continue to hold onto our monopoly.

IT- English warrior raids barb camp. Hey, they stole our money!! They must pay!

T2- Found Bacta on the hill north of Antioch. Start on a worker, then it should build a temple(rushing if possible). Next settler/warrior pair takes of from Antioch with the hope of boxing the English in.

IT- Pers builds settler, starts another.
Susa: Barracks->Imm
We can now build the Forbidden Palace. I vote we hold of & build in in London(or even the city to the east of London if possible after we take over England. They have some great land around there & it would give us plenty of room for a bunch of fairl corruption free cities.**Definatly open for debate, I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on this. Where & When??**

Also the germs plop down a city 1 spot from where I was heading with the pair:mad:. Stupid Biz!! Settling SOOO far from home in my spot. Oh well:rolleyes:

T3(1475)-:sleep:

IT- Finish chopping forest near Antiouch. Tarsus Warrior defeats barb. Pars: Imm->Work

T4(1450)-:sleep:

IT- Biz demands my warrior leaves, I give in........this time;)

T5-:sleep:

IT- Pars: Work->Imm

T6(1400)-More of the same.

IT- Arbiea: Work->work
Pers: Settler->settler *after this one I think we can rush a barracks in Pers & start cranking out Immortals there too for a while. Its aproaching time to take Liz out!*

T7- :sleep:

T8(1350)- Switch Gordium(Tundra town#1) from Barracks to Spear, due in 1. Found Sidon(Tundra town#2), start on warrior to upgrade. Turn tech down to 50%, Lit still due in 3. MM a little.

IT- Gordium: Spear->War

T9-:sleep:

IT-Susa builds Immortal->Imm

T10(1300bc)- Found Tyre(NE) of Bactra, starts on work. Left setler in Antioch with moves left for next person to decide what to do with.

And the SAVE

Good luck!

I guess it is my turn so this is my I got it. GK is it about time to whipe out the English yet?

I should play and post by lunch tomorrow.

The distant sound of war is coming.

I'd wait untill we had 8 or so immortals. Unfortunaly we don't have the military to start a war. We only have 7 warriors, with 5 sitting in cities & the remaining 2 exploring. We also have 2 immortals marching to the front line.

But soon.............

Yeah, I agree with Gengis. If you have a good amount of immortals, you can steamroller them. Don't we have some spears, too?
Lemme look at the map when it comes around to me, and I'll weigh in with my opinion.

Here they are. It was kinda quiet.

IT 1300BC: Check everything, change nothing. Move Settler towards Bactra, heading towards dyes.

1275BC (1) Get Literature, starts Math. Pers --> settler --> Great Library (can veto). Move units.

1250BC (2) Move units.

1225BC (3) Sidon --> Warrior --> Library. Move units.

1200BC (4) Gordium --> Warrior --> Library. Found Zulu N of Germans.

1175BC (5) Susa --> Immortals --> Immortals

1150BC (6) Move units.

1125BC (7) Pas --> Immortals --> Immortals. Get 25g from fragging barb camp.

1100BC (8) Zilch.

1075BC (9) Tyre --> worker --> rax.

1050BC (10) Zilch.

Currently 163g, Math in 2. Pers is building GL, have some temples being built, change them to Libraries. Some immrtals & spearmen are also being built. Feel free to make any changes.

I have 2 settlers along with a couple of immortals & spear moving to get the dyes NE of Tyre.

Here is the save.

I believe it's on you dream.

My two cents:pers's entertainer can be put to work for 3 turns untill it grows for more production. Torsus should be changed to a library then rushed, costing us 1 citizen. Tyre should be switched to a library as well to grab the fish & bonus grass. And last the worker connecting Gordion & Sidon should stop building a road, he has more important work to do(roading a forrest next to Gordion for ex.)

Sorry if this sounds overly critical or whatever, I'm assuming everones here to learn & this is just my strategy. I'm as intrested in what you guys think before my turns as what I'd do.

I'd also settle 1 settler either on the hill or or NE of the hill(can't decide, quicker having dyes vs better city placement). Of course this all depends what the German war/settler pair do. Make sure we get those dyes!! I'd leave the other settler to fill in the gaps left by the english when their wiped out(move him to the front).

We now have 9 wars, 4 spears, and 6 immortals. We will also have furs in 11 turns(Antioch builds temple in 1, borders expand in 10).

Get 'em dream.

Umm. I think that goes beyond the 24 got it.

Andvruss I beleive it's on you to claim...
