System Specs?

Civ-3 with full 31-civ, huge map, convulsed tech-tree and lots of possibilities (units, ressource, ect) could make the CPU turns quite long on my old 500mhz computer. Modern Age especially.

Yes it does for me ..

But my windows is becoming very slow recently , maybe because of spywares or viruses I think. This can be the reason why civ3 is too slow for me.. I will format my harddrive and install fresh windows to see if the perofrmance imporves.

Well, I'm going to soon be upgrading my hard drive(20gigs just plain doesn't cut it anymore, not like it has any time in the past few years either) And I'll just hope that for the time being My Radeon 9200SE should cut it, since I'm going to wait for Black Friday to go buy a 6600GT or maybe a Radeon 9800pro, either should be good enough for my needs until I get my new computer in a few months. My processor will hopefully be fine, as I haven't had any problems with that, besides some slow loading in HL2.
