Probably refers to Zenon guitars, a vintage brand manufactured in Japan back in the 60s.

That makes sense, but why put it under "Zenon" rather than "guitars"?

Why is a 100 watt amplifier only twice as loud as a 10 watt amplifier?

Spoiler :
I do know the answer, I just felt like asking something.

power required to increase volume raises exponentially... am I right? :)

EDIT: will this now become a quiz thread? :p

You tell me, kiddo - you're the expert on that particular band. ;)

My guess is that they just did it for fun, or perhaps to differentiate Tench from the actual guitarist on that album.

Yep. It takes 10x the power to get 2x the volume. :)

What is this character called?
Þ

Thank you. Is there a site where you can paste the character in and it'll come up with the name. Soemtimes Wikipedia doesnt work.

Well, you could try doing that in Google and that normally ought to work because the name of the letter will probably keep on coming up. Alternatively, you can use the Character Map, which is in Accessories > System Tools if you've got a recent version of Windows, where if you click on a letter you'll see its name shown in the bottom left of the window.

Also this site seems to have an extensive unicode catalogue with names of the characters; if you look half way down the page there's a list of all sorts of different unicode test pages with almost every likely character in there. If you search in google limiting your search to that website you ought to find whatever you're looking for fairly quickly.

Depends on what the ingredients are. If it's just cheese, then the form doesn't matter.

I was looking at the liner notes and I see that on one song there are 4 saxophones (!). But I've never heard them. So what's the most likely situation:

a) Whoever did the liner notes fudged up.
b) They're buried so deep into the song that they're not recognizable.
c) I'm going deaf.

Hard to say without hearing the song in question. Linky? I'll check it out and get back to you, for a modest consulting fee of course. ;)

Well I can't post it but I can PM that.

Works for me. I'll begin my research consulting shortly.

EDIT: Completed. I'll send my invoice along soon. ;)

Turns out it's option B - the saxes are there, but so buried as to be almost unnoticeable (and frankly the song would sound just the same without them, IMO). That may not have been the case during the recording sessions, but the mixing has reduced those horns to just aural wallpaper.

Whats the name of that movie where Kevin Bacon kills gang bangers with illegal firearms that he bought from John Goodman?
