The NESer Neptune's Pride Thread!

It looks like Terraforming bonuses update every 1-hour "tick". At least for capturing neutral systems they do; I've yet to have the chance to attack someone with higher levels of terraforming.

So you should probably wait until the next tick passes to build stuff, if possible. Doing that for industry will obviously make you lose out on a ship, but eh.

Also looks like ships don't arrive at systems in real-time, but rather only at the beginning of ticks. That is extremely bad for my playstyle.

My game has at least one decent and one half-decent player :/. Need more science so I can feed tech to all their neighbors...

So in my game, there's only one other veteran of Neptune's Pride from what I can tell. There may be a second, but I've convinced two others to help me swallow him, so he won't be around for long.

Anyway, this one other veteran right now has double the econ of any other player. Trying to stop him are two newbies, one of whom accidentally spent all his initial money on industry, leaving no cash for even an initial fleet.
I'm doing a science rush gambit, and as such, have started feeding the two newbies with tech and strategic advice. The resistance shall falter on!

God, I hope I can teach yellow how to use his 320+ ships to at least slow down the veteran's ~120 ships.

In my game, passive-aggressive neighbors cause war. One of my neighbors refuse to respond to me while the other one, my initial target, was so helpful I was willing to give them a pass. For now. But that is the usual thing.

I like how science slowed down. I like how things scaled differently.

So, what is this?

The game appears to be full. Shoot.

A quick map of all the Nesers I spotted.

Daft and I seem to compose the Northern Block.

Shouldn't be too hard for us to connect with the Eastern Block.

Dear GemHound seems to have sent a fleet under the command of the carrier Pi Almach I en route to my planet of Upsilon Acamar. This will not stand.

So is there anyone else that is using a different name?

Here is an edited map with terrance added.

Damn, this gets resurrected the day I'm out of town.

Are my eyes failing me or is that a lot more player slots than I remembered. (a /lot/)
