Don't know. But it makes sense to me to develop high speed rail. Then at some stage you can put a tunnel over the whole network, evacuate it and travel at 15,000 mph. Arriving at your destination before you've left really.

Did I mention I like to look ahead?

ffffphhhrroooooooooooooooooooooooooooooommmmm!

Anyone know of any stores or websites that sell Peach flavored Jolly Ranchers?

Anyone?

I know it seems like a stupid question but I can't find peach Jolly Ranchers to buy in bulk. They only sell them in mixes with other flavors and I just want the peach ones.

This was going to be my birthday present, but I can't find a site that has a supply.

I'm not finding that specific flavor for sale individually, they might not have the demand to package peach alone. I would see if you can get on the phone with Hersey's Customer Service to see if they have a way to custom order. They probably do. I know you can with M&Ms(usually for weddings) but the sticker shock of the warehouse putting together an order just for you might be unpleasant.

M&Ms has these shops:

Which makes the least amount of sense because they all taste the same anyway.

True enough - I hadn't thought of that. A large enough candy store might stock them divided by flavor but there sure aren't any within convenient driving distance for me. I'd have to call in advance to verify stock before I made the trip.

More bizarrely, people actually go there? They do, I know. There's one in London that a friend has been to.

Yeah, I haven't seen anything like that for Jolly Ranchers.

Be normal and make green apple your favorite flavor like everyone else.
But its MUH BIRFDAY.

Yeah I'm aware it could get pricey, which is why it's my main BD request, besides Godzilla movies.

Great suggestion though, I hadn't thought about phoning up Hershey's. :D

Yes, people (including myself) would go there. Probably right after watching the laser light show at the planetarium.

Only Asian men are allowed to buy anything though. It's a controversial rule, but it works.

Is this in any way practical or realistic? http://www.upworthy.com/this-future...ay-cooler-than-any-current-map-of-the-u?c=bl3

I mean freaking Cheyanne and Quincy?

No. Parts of it, yeah. But not the whole as shown. The parts of high speed rail that make sense are areas where the other modes of transport are already congested, and expected to get worse. If you have a couple dozen airliners making that route every day, then you may be able to justify the costs. But if you don't, then no. And it's not just volume, but time as well. If the train route takes a lot more time than flying (including the getting in and out of the airport, security, and luggage), then likely the route doesn't make sense. So routes that are up to maybe 5-6 hours total flight time, including airport time, if the train route can be done in maybe 8 hours or less. But a route that's a day on the train isn't going to attract enough people away from flying unless flying becomes a hell of a lot more expensive or time wasting.

Is it this?

Link to video.

I quite like it - never having heard it before. It's very bouncy.

(I don't think I want to hear it again, mind.)

Where are these boys from? Mullingar, Bradford, Wolverhampton, Holmes Chapel, Doncaster.

Yep. I know what this band is like, alright. Not that I'm prejudging in any way. Oh no. (One of them is half Pakistani - now, there's multiculturalism for you.)
In that video they included tribute bits to the Beatles, Beach Boys, Elvis, and one of their members looks like a young Mick Jagger.

Yes. It's very like the Beach Boys. There's the two floor stage Elvis reference.

I'm not sure what the Beatle tribute is.

(That's 3 times I've watched it now. Gah! Still, is ok. Sorta.)

Is it normal to think in a language different from your maternal language?
And yes, I still live in my country of birth (Belgium, Dutch).

Many people raised in two languages do just that - presumably the other one is French? - but it's unusual for it to happen with a language that you've learned from school-age, unless you're actually using that language at the time: I think in French when I'm speaking French, and German when I'm speaking German, and read those foreign languages I do understand without mentally 'translating'.

Yes. I've had dreams in French from time to time.

I think they say it takes about 6 months of living in a foreign country using the language on a daily basis before you start habitually thinking in it.

If you're not living it daily, I suppose it depends how much time you dedicate to it.

I believe the brain devotes separate areas for separate languages. But I may just be muddled.
