If the choice was made purely based on observational skill I think you might fair very well but I assume the mentioned H2O-man has a myriad of other outstanding qualitilies so I withdraw from the competition as well..

It was last year (2020-2021) and he left it running by accident. Snow piled up over it and never melted ... we didn't go out in the backyard all winter, and just never noticed. There wasn't anything visible (other than a slight decrease in water pressure) It was the water leak detector guy who found it.

I've been under the impression that it's "...and removing any doubt" but I'll take your word for it. Effectively the same.
