Unit Lottery

Fixed it for ya! :p
I guess I have some time as I'm not the first so I'll let you know what I was thinking for the elf lord in more detail, maybe try and find some pics.
No need to search for pics of the elf lord; I've found one ;):

Actually, I'm looking forward to seeing all the winners crafted by tom2050.

Not quite what I was thinking BM. Rob what pic are you referring to?

I'm afraid I'm thinking of something a little more Eurocentric, Tolkien-esque, War Hammer-ish etc.
It's a little inside joke. He's definitely supernatural, but definitely not an elf. Those are pictures of Krishna - Arjuna's chariot driver in the Kurukshetra War at the end of the Mahabharata. In other words the driver for the ratha (Indian chariot) Rob requested in the lottery.

Deep One will take some work to do good... but I've started. How big is a Deep One Kyriakos? Should it be as big as the Cthulhu? I didn't see a size given on the wiki page. I assume it will be a land unit (instead of a sea unit partially submerged in water)?

Nick0515; I'll give you a good unit, don't worry!

About Ratha; I can help out with it; it's a really cool unit, and alot of work has been put into it already. Alot of these units are possible to do.. so later on I might be able to do some others as well after the winners units are done first.

@Wyrmshadow: I would very much appreciate it (OHP model) good sir! Thank You! Wish I had something to give you in return, but I probably don't. :)

I'm pretty sure there is a Vingjoe O.H. Perry frigate, too. But whatever. Always good to see more ships in Tom's Naval Shipyard. (As opposed to his Maritime shipyard, which is empty :D ).

I would love to see a Deep One :)

Sounds like a charm capability?

It should be a land-unit, yes, although the Deep Ones live mostly in the sea (but i doubt it would look good, or be as useful, as a sea-unit).

And its size definitely would be better looking if it was considerably smaller than Cthulhu. Cthulhu was a deity, whereas there are numerous deep-ones; they are fishmen who appear (maybe elsewhere too) in the story The shadow over Innsmouth. I suspect they are not that much larger than ordinary people, so you could make them just a bit bigger than a normal land human unit :)

Most Deep-Ones are human-sized.

The Shadow over Innsmouth - H.P. Lovecraft said:
I think their predominant color was a greyish-green, though they had white bellies. They were mostly shiny and slippery, but the ridges of their backs were scaly. Their forms vaguely suggested the anthropoid, while their heads were the heads of fish, with prodigious bulging eyes that never closed. At the sides of their necks were palpitating gills, and their long paws were webbed. They hopped irregularly, sometimes on two legs and sometimes on four. I was somehow glad that they had no more than four limbs. Their croaking, baying voices, clearly used for articulate speech, held all the dark shades of expression which their staring faces lacked ... They were the blasphemous fish-frogs of the nameless design - living and horrible.

Although a following writer (Lin Carter) suggested the opposite, I believe Lovecraft intended them to be an Earth-born species.

There are numerous hybrid human/deep-one. At first, they look almost like humans, except for a few dissimilarities such as slightly webbed fingers and bigger-than-usual eyes. They gradually change to a full Deep-One and, by the age of 30-60, go to the sea, toward an undersea colony.

There are a few specimens that might be as big as 30 meters high but they seem quite rare. One appeared in "Dagon" (1917) ; but contrary to most people seem to think (Chaosium might be at fault for this), it wasn't Dagon itself. Dagon was the object of the cult and the creature was clearly a devote. The creature is described as with "webbed hands and feet, shockingly wide and flappy lips, glassy, bulging eyes, and other features less pleasant to recall."

Hmm I struggled to come up with some good concept art but here's what I have so far.

Also I'm using this unit of yours as another elf special hero unit so something that matches fairly well with this would be good.

The elves in my mod are Woodelves so nothing to High Elf-ish please.

It's pretty open really, but I'd like:
- A man, the Elven King
- Riding a horse
- Weilding a sword
- Colours Green, brown, yellow, red
- Some armour but not too much.
- Perhaps a cloak.

Bonus animations would be:
- a Magical attack
- a bow attack (bow stored on his back when not used).

Having said all that, I'll be happy and very appreciative of anything you produce. I'm sure it will be of a high quality. I'll keep looking for better pics.

Thanks again, Tom.
