My cat has displayed some pretty weird behavior lately. She seems to take particular interest in my laptop whenever I use it on my lap, making noise and robbing its head against the screen. She will also try to squeeze in on my lap. Does she perceive the laptop as another pet and felt threatened?

No, but a laptop generally absorbs all your attention. Much like many cats will plop in your face when you're reading a book: they want to be the center of things.

My cat does it all the time to my dad. He sits down outside with his laptop and then the cat gets in the way, you know, jumps up onto the table and starts talking about his favourite Communist leader.
If you give a lot of attention to cats, they soon start not giving you attention. They've worked you out and are bored. When someone is paying them the least attention, they go and suck-up to them to try and work them out.

Or it could be he just wants attention from anyone

Thats just cats doing what they do best, picking the human who is most busy and then annoy them till they quit and stroke/feed them!

My cat just sleeps. :( Then again, I'm thinking he got the habit from me rather than vice-versa...

Oh yeah. typical cat.

"Attention is directed at something other than me. This must be an error since I am the center of the universe; I shall proceed to rectify this error."

I hate cats, if a cat tries to sit on my knee, I'll kick it.

My current cat is so annoying, he's charming. He's psychic too. All I have to do is think of what I dont want him to focus on, and zoom, he's off like a rocket and jumping all over it. He's got a thing with bathrooms. Whenever I go to the bathroom he starts meowing in an alarmed way, like he's afraid I might not make it out alive.

I think it's broken.

The cat wants attention, I think. Dunno why it rubs her head on the screen, but I have read somewhere that cats mark their area with rubbing their cheek on something, it releases some kind of smell that cats notice. So maybe it just she wanting to mark that as her property.

Yes, the cat is probably broken. But a cold shower should fix that little problem. :p

Dida, that's totally normal cat behavior. All cat behavior is weird, but that's one of the stupid things they do regularly.

She just wants attention from you and maybe from that warm purring thing on your lap.

I've taught my cat to not sit in front of the screen and try to kill the baddies for me. It was real nice of him, but not very effective.

I think so my cat did the same thing.

Same with the bathroom-thingie. My cat starts to meow and scratch the door when I'm in bathroom, and looks angry when I open the door when she is behind it. Maybe she thinks that I should be more careful and check that there aren't any cats behind the door.
