How did your daughter get blue eyes if you two have brown eyes???
Blue eyes aren't exactly "recessive". There is more than one factor than just the color of the parents' eyes. For example, every male in my paternal line has blue eyes, but my mother has dark brown eyes. That is how I am going to know if my woman cheats on me, if the child doesn't have my blue eyes!
Didn't you talk about your mom not letting you join the army when you are old enough? Maybe I hallucinated that part.

I'm not excited to get married (my GF doesn't have any desire to marry either).People are always excited to get married... not always so excited to be married.

Right now I'm in a developing situation with a woman who has two kids 5 and 7. Her son is a cubs fan but I won't take that out on him. In fact, I got him Fukudome's autograph on Friday at a restaurant we were at.
I met her at a bbq this summer and when we first met I asked "would you like baked beans"? She said "yes" and the rest is history.

Eye color is determined by several different genes, but I'm pretty sure these are autosomal; they aren't found on the sex chromosomes. The pattern in your paternal line is likely a coincidence. I don't think it is the best way to tell if your woman is cheating, especially if her eyes are less blue than yours.
Both of my parents have green eyes (well, actually my dad's eyes were brown as a child, but were hazel by the time my parents met and have continued to grow greener), but my sister's eyes are blue and mine are brown (although I remember that on the day my nephew was born I eyes strangely looked emerald green instead). In my mother's family I think all the males had brown eyes and all the females but her had blue. My dad's mom had grey-blue eyes while his dad had a lighter rather mixed hazel, and his siblings had much bluer eyes than their parents.
