Below is an image of how I see Europe. It is a compromise between the Polish desire for it to be considered "Western", whilst still acknowledging that they are basically Russian.

Poland also supplies half of Germany's footballing team  SNAP
Podolski, Klose ... didn't know we had only four team members. Could explain why we didn't win the last championship ;)

Poland is west of where it used to be, but it is still in eastern europe, but so is Germany, Sweden and Italy

France, Belgium and the Netherlands are central europe
Never ask the British about Continental geography.

Roughly:

Western Europe = Romantic languages (Portugal, Spain, France, Italy) + UK
Eastern Europe = Slavic languages (fmr USSR, Poland, fmr Yugoslavia)
Central Europe = Germanic languages (Netherlands, Scandinavia, Germany, Austria)
Poor Finno-Ugric languages. Where do they live? The Great Pannonian Taiga?

Geez do you guys know what "roughly" means?
Yes, but you should never that in the way of some snark! :p

Here is a compromise everyone, give us back Lwow, Luck, Bresc, Grodno and Vilnius and then we can be Eastern European. :)
Done, if Germany gets Schlesien, Posen, Pomerellen, and Westpreußen back.

Surprised you said Vilnius instead of Wilno, actually.

Oh, I think I can do another one!

"The Poles roughly won the Siege of Vienna."

No, Polish influence on that battle was worthless at best. It was all Austrians with the help of their Holy Roman allies that won the battle and beat back the Turks. Everyone knows this.

I slipped.

I accept that offer. Because then I would be German and could support a successful national team!! :goodjob: :goodjob: :goodjob:

I have even better solution.
Give Lwow, Luck, Brest, Grodno and Vilnius back to Poland,
and Poland back to Russia.

Actually, it's more because Kara Mustafa was a terrible general.

Bit of a non sequitur, that.
