I'll have you know that as a dark side player you can kill over half your party in KoTor 1, there's plenty of consequence for your choices. It was KoTor 2 that was superficial.

Meh. The only party member I got to kill off were Kreia and Visas. I wanted to kill that douchebag you find on Dantooine, and Atton. Man Atton sucks.

In Mass Effect 2, you can kill your whole party. And yourself. :p

Thats not a consequence, thats an action ending with its intended result. A consequence would be something like the rest of the party turns on you, deserts you in an hour of need for killing team members or the last mission fails because you didn't have enough dudes to pull it off.

In Mass Effect 2, you can kill your whole party. And yourself. :p

ME1 choices don't effect anything in the ME2 you get a handfull of emails and conrad acts like you put a gun in his face. I really can't see bioware punishing players (didn't save the Rachni Queen? threw away Krogan cure? encouraged the Quarians to go to war? wiped out the heretic Geth? Killed the council now galaxy hates humans? Collector Base destroyed? Even if you did all that I bet you come out all right) especially not self-centred paragon shepards.

And I acknowledged that, and agree with you (in general). Though I still hold out some hope that it'll all end up meaning something more than "altered dialog" in ME3.

Oh, good (getting everybody killed in ME2 is a big consequence I admit :p), hopefully they don't just throw away the team we spent a whole game building either.
So did anyone lose people in the final mission? I know Mordin and Tali can die even if you do all the obvious stuff right. I didn't lose anybody though.

I have lost some on purpose. Along with letting the crew die, again on purpose. Just to watch the scenes.

If you have the Zaeed DLC - which was free - it's literally impossible for anybody to die holding the line, especially if he's loyal. I never lost anybody on the Suicide Mission, though, except when I was just playing to get the "everybody dies" ending when Joker has to bring the news back to the Illusive Man.
