You forgot to sacrifice a lamb to Anonymous. Try that, and it should work.
I blame the Greeks.
I for one have no idea what Jehoshua is talking about. His claim that liberalism was a religion was such a rhethorical suicide I just automatically blanked the rest of his posts' contents.
Is Mibbit not working? cause I'm trying to get on #nes, and it keeps timing out before connecting.

Oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god oh god, no. Not emphatic enough. NO. Do not play countries to express real world political beliefs; there are so many things wrong with this that I don't know where to start.
I forgot to tell you that I am going to be changing Iolha into a unitary republic with freedom of religion, state capitalism and a professional standing army.
@christos, no one understands your proposition that "democracy is a foreign concept [to 'non-westerners']" because it is historically untrue.
OMG. NNNNNNNNOPE. Nope nope nope nope. I agree with North King entirely and wholeheartedly.
No, it makes perfect sense. Having discussions solves nothing, ever. Much better to passive-aggressively make jabs at ideologies you disagree with in what Birdjaguar just told us is supposed to be a more relaxed environment.
That discussion is just fine for WWW.If you guys want a discussion that isn't hampered by OT people (which everyone seems to hate for some reason) why don't you make a Social Group? Because I'm fairly sure Bird isn't going to tolerate it here much longer...
Also, I don't get what is so bad about nations being based on your philosophical/political opinions. I wouldn't want to do it all the time, but I have often made nations that parody certain political positions I disagree with, such as the Orwellian Australia that I use often in IOTs. And Dommy's nation in MADIOT, although I don't really agree with his position that much, was a hilarious piece of satire. I know IOTs aren't NESes, but I still don't understand.
#nes is a reasonable environment for such discussions. There are a couple of reasons to avoid OT discussions in WWW. The first is that we already have a place for them: OT and its related forums. By bringing those kinds of topics into NESing, we will bring many of the OT moderation issues here as well. They can be passionate topics with strong willed posters. In addition once such discussions get established, we will see non NESers migrate over here to participate. When I established the first WWW thread it was to provide a casual, more chatty environment for folks to wait for updates and not a place for serious minded discussion. I see it as a NES community oriented #NES with rules and civility. Adding such discussions will carry us outside of our original scope.
Since we already have a forum for highly charged political, religious, and societal issues, I see no beneficial reason to bring those topics here.
What I would suggest is that when you play a game you bring your religious/political and cultural beliefs into the game and create nations that are strange and interesting. You can fight your ideological battles in a game rather than in a discussion that will most likely go nowhere.

#nes is likewise not working for me.
Where has #nes moved anyway?
@ Ninjacow
The difference is between making a nation with some of your ideas and beliefs, and making a nation solely to express your ideas and beliefs. Things can get nasty and personal AMAZINGLY quickly.
I would say it was directly relevant to NESing and possibly quite necessary, seeing as it is potentially interesting background to how Jehoshua acts as the Pope in CI and the Grandpatriarch in N3S.
