Yeah she admitted to the campaign staffer but not to the congressional aid. Sorry, I worded that exceedingly poorly. It's the latter that is potentially a legal/ethics problem.

Having a relationship with a campaign staffer not a potential ethics problem?

If Sanders wins the nomination, who is the likely VP?

Hopefully not Warren - then again, is there anyone else? I mean Yang isn't that established, and Tulsi may not be a good idea in that role.
Furthermore, even if Sanders doesn't get JFK'ed, he may have health issues during the presidency and retire.
He said in an interview a while back that itd be a woman younger than him who he believes could carry through with his personal beliefs.

Kinda leads me to think Nina Turner but I'm not sure. She'd be a big help with midwest and African American votes.

The house rules on this were strengthened last year in response to #MeToo. Pelosi asked her to resign because of the sex stuff.

I think there are two things at work here. Having sex with staffer(s) as a congressperson or while running for congress should be an irreparably negative pursuit. Men do this all the time and it needs to be treated as the abuse of power it is.
I dunno, I think consenting adults should be able to do what they want. If there's no evidence that she used her power/position to solicit sex it's fine, IMO. There will always be power imbalances in relationships.

Now, her ex and the GOP people spreading all her nude pics are absolutely disgusting too, and that's the other (maybe larger at this point) part of this.
Good life advice for anyone in the modern world is : when you share pics (or words even) with one person, be aware you may be sharing them with the whole world. Digital privacy should never be assumed.

Still f-ed up of course.

He's the only 100% non-white candidate, isn't that get enuf SJW cred?
Maybe, but a woman on the ticket would bring in a lot more women to choose him and her rather than him and him.

If a progressive wins you probably want a centrist in the ticket and vice versa.

Same with female/male I suppose.

In addition to maybe picking a VP from a purple state.

I'm not convinced that women on the POTUS/VP ticket has any significant impact on the female vote.

These days it would negate to some extent "So sexist you didn't nominate a women crowd" assuming a male wins.

A female might not be the best candidate because like it or not where you need to win it is sexist. USA is around 20 to 30 years behind in that regard.

Biden should make it be known he opposed the wars in Libya and Syria, it would help him with the peace crowd. But he cant really do it without pissing off Obama and Clinton and he doesn't want them endorsing an opponent out of spite. Tough spot for a dove riding the wave of neo-con hawks.

You never had a female elected VP either, though :)
Was there even a candidate for that, prior to McdemenAin's run? And then it was obvious he would be obliterated by Obama anyway.

Geraldine Ferraro was Walter Mondale's VP running mate in 1984. Not a good omen although probably unfair to blame it on Ferraro, Reagan was probably going to win by a landslide whoever the Democrats ran.
