Because when the youth movement was actually allowed to have their messianic candidate on the ballot in November he got crushed...by Richard freakin' Nixon no less. So guess what, 'just do whatever they say so the youth will turn out to vote' is not a cure all.
Seven other Democratic candidates have lost to Republican candidates since 1968. Were they all the product of misguided youth movements?

Hillary Rodam Clinton; she did win the popular vote but ran a bad campaign in the Midwest.
Sure. But Tim's theory is that Democratic candidates shouldn't need to campaign, not when they're up against such a self-evident incompetent as Trump. No more than the minimum necessary to clearly distinguish themselves from their opponent. Middle-aged voters, with decades of accrued wisdom, will simply vote for the more sensible candidate. Certainly, there may be an actual electoral contest when both candidates appear sensible: Clinton against Dole, for instance, or Obama against McCain. But Clinton should have been strolling across the finish line against Trump. So why didn't that happen?

We should probably arrange @Timsup2nothin early death in a Mafia game then. He sounds scummy.

Sanders needs to hammer that Biden has dementia.
The problem for Bernie is that he is uniquely ill-suited to make this argument, given he is the only candidate even older than Biden, and just suffered a heart attack himself. Raising health would probably not be a winning strategy for him.

A dead president gets replaced by the VP. A demented president is kept on as a figurehead while a bunch of unelected officials rule.

What, do you think Biden was forth accidentally, in his condition, as a candidate? He's to be a pupped for the owners of the DNC. Who happen to be the current owners of the country anyway.
Bloomberg couldn't buy the presidency himself, but that was plan B if Biden faltered. Plan A is still on.

I believe dementia qualifies as "incapacitation," in the article of the U.S. Constitution that deals with Presidential succession.

All right. In what ways, specifically?

The ones that are so glaringly obvious that everyone else undoubtedly recognizes them as intentional, specifically. Trolling me takes a much stronger effort.

Was he verified and diagnosed as having Alzheimer's BEFORE leaving office? I can't remember now...

Good thing you aren't running for president. Forgetting is a disqualifier you know.

That Trump would be the youngest and most active candidate left is a real shocker. The rich and white, not so much.

How did that go with Reagan?

It hasn't gone well with Trump, either, but my post was directed towards whether making the argument is smart strategy for Bernie. And running a health argument is not.

Well, that means no human would qualify, and only a super computer from those man vs. machine dystopian science fiction franchises would qualify. What a terrifying scenario you weave!
