1929. After 6 years of combat an armistice was signed. Millions lay dead and after another year of treaty signing and squabbles the world is very different. Bonus points if you can guess how the war went.

Wales über alles :smug:

Looks like the browns won but got a bit screwed in Russia and India.

The Allies won and dismantled many of the Central Powers. Romans, Persia and Islamic Indian Republic are the only ones to make it out with gains for the Central Powers.

The PoD for this is the lack of an American Revolution. I'm not certain if it's [the timeline] entirely plausible, and researching it, but here's a map of this reality circa 1899/1900.
Spoiler :

British and Spanish imperial territories are for the most part self-regulating and treated as quasi-sovereign, save for British and Spanish Africa, British India and the far south of Spanish South America. The same is not true of the Ottomans and Russians. Napoleon came to power, and following a more dramatic series of Napoleonic Wars, Britain and Spain agreed to dismantle France and divide it similar to was done with Germany following the Second World War.

Why on earth have we managed to conquer northern France? That's absurd. Surely our Empire is far too difficult to manage to do that, and we wouldn't do it anyway, because it generally wouldn't be profitable or useful to conquer that land in modern times.

LoE is an Anglophile you have to get used to it. :p But anyway there is way to much orange. Ehh

The French Revolution stirred up a lot of trouble in Europe. Following the mess that Napoleon created, French sovereignty was dismantled and Britain and Spain divided France in two to prevent further French problems. Napoleon had a pretty large following in this TL after the fallout of the Revolution and all the Anglo-Spanish meddling in post-Revolution French affairs. (An intermediary French republic was established following the Revolution that was toppled by Napoleon and ultimately replaced by Anglo-Spanish puppet governments that exist at the time of the map)

Think of British France as OTL's Anglo-Egypt.

But... I'm an Anglophile too... why would I want all those Frenchies? :p

LoE: Ah, puppet governments, fair enough.

I'd be happier if there was at least a good Germany :( Also Japan isn't to magnificent either.. sigh..

1935: HRE has changed into an ever radicalizing socialist republic. Russia is in for lots of political issues. China is broken into civil war and land grabs by the Japanese. Leon conquered Granada and gave semi-autonomy to three of it's colonies. Welsh did similar with 'Quebec'.

Any other things that catch your attention? I'm looking to correct implausibilities/territorial mistakes/etc.

I should probably mention that shortly after Brazil gained independence Portugal descended into civil war after which a representative government was established, which joined into a personal union with Spain, although there is no Portugese crown for the Spaniards to inherit, so it seems that Portugal shall remain quasi-sovereign, and forcibly annexing Portugal would incur a war with Britain.

Brazil looks really weird.

How so? I can see how the light blue on yellow might be a little blinding, but that can be easily corrected.

How do you get a personal union when one of the crowns isn't in existence? Maybe it's just me, but your explanation of Portugal makes markedly little sense to me.

I can't really nitpick without having a clue what happened all these years, but I see too many borders that don't fit natural boundaries, however you look at it.

I'm in the process of writing a timeline, so that will hopefully give you more information to base off of.

Can you point out any egregious offenses? I'm not very happy with China's borders, which are for the moment entirely arbitrary beyond the fact that they don't have as much land as they would otherwise have thanks to a series of Sino-Russian wars.
