It does not sound that bad, but we have some units exposed too. I'd really like to do that last one again...and different :mad:

We found a small empty island with our galley. I was searching for a bg in our northern city to get it to 10 shields.
 
Hey, that was a great set of turns. A 5:1 kill ratio. We have our sword army, Spain has two fewer cities. Not everything in AW goes your way. It is how we react to the adversity that determines whether we are successful or not.

We need a lot more cats. Probably should have one city concentrate on cats.

The bad news is that there are four incoming and within reach of Edrine and only three garrison troops. (2 NuMercs and 2 German horseman and an Aztec archer hiding in the woods.)

Not only did the kill ratio slip but the baddies are in the homeland :wallbash:

Sulieman the Reserrected awaits an escort home. The jungle between the army and Edrine is infested with various nasties, mostly Spanish and Aztecs.

There is enough force at Oae (sp?) to take the town.

The forces in the south need to heal up a little then can just move down the coast taking out the English towns.

Sorry about the little mess at Edrine. The one thing going for us is the NuMerc may not attack, and the horses may retreat.
 
I don't know what wonders are available, but we should snag whatever we can with the leader as a denial move. Is the Pyramids available still? HG is obviously available. Great Wall?
 
I'd go for the Epic also. We should get enough leaders then to snag most wonders and deny them to the AI.
 
I agree. we got very many wonders in last game, and when we can only have one army, a wonder is a very good use of a leader.

And not only do they act as denial moves, but we also profit from them, like the HG is a very good wonder to have, as we'll get happy people > less luxtax needed. And stuff like that.

After Action – We are on the defensive right now, reacting to the AI. Edrine has been a focal point. The mountain south of Edrine could use a road as well as the two tiles marked with a red “X”. Those two tiles make a nice killing zone. The yellow arrows shows the path the AI has been taking. Once they run into the occupied mountain they head for the red X’s. Place some cats on Red Circle Mountain and turn the red X’s into killing zones.

Another popular spot for the AI to hang out has been Green Circle Mountain. A road would be a good thing to build there.

I’ve traced out the paths the AI have been taking to get to Edrine (yellow arrows). You may want to consider forts at light blue circles to place cats on and get to the AI before they get to the city. We might also consider setting up a gauntlet for them to run like we had in ANK09.
