i noticed, when i was playing the ancient greek mod as the romans, that after i conquered a city the name would change into the Roman inquivelant. is there a way to do this automatically for all civiliazations? for instance, if i was playing as the Spanish and i conquered New York, the name would become Nueva York.

I notived that and was wondering as well. That way I wouldn't have to Anglicize names when I get them as the English and wouldn't have to actually think of ways to Anglicize Hieaconopolis.

i've found a lot of information on the web for place names in different languages. is there anyone out there that could possible figure out how to change city name by ruling civ?

Have you considered looking at how the greek mod does it? :p

how would i make it change names on a regular game....or do i have to make a mod, if so, how would i go about doing that?

if anyone has any ideas please post

Yes you have to make a mod. But you can have it work in a normal game by putting the mod in customassets.

i have no command of XML or Python, but i have the majority of the information that i need. is anyone interested in working with me and making this dream a reality?

c'mon, theres gotta be someone out there...

ive found the Greek Mod files and i basically know how this works. however, i have been unable to find how to introduce this into a mod.

this is what i've come up with so far with America and Arabia. i still have no idea what to do with it....
