Stalin turned a backwater agrar country into THE most powerful state in the history of mankind and liberated Europe from Fascism. You're welcome.

That still wouldn't excuse his atrocities though? And it's arguable that he turned them into the most powerful state in Europe, let alone the world. You could similarily argue that Hitler turned Germany from a state crippled by depression and crushed under the weight of the Versailles treaty into a nation capable of conquering Europe in less than a decade.

Liberating is a strange choice too, when you're replacing one totalitarian regime for another, probably worse regime.

Anyway, this new update looks good, might have to spend another portion of my life on civ :goodjob:

Moderator Action: I thought I had been clear that I don't want to see Stalin discussion in this thread? This is the last time I will say this in friendly blue text.

Is it intended for there to be no source of horses in India? Also, why is Pagan considered to be historical territory for the Mughals? The only information I could find on that was that the last Mughal emperor was exiled to Burma.

It's probably an artifact from directly converting off the Indian stability map.
When I created the Mexican stability map, they inherited two foreign tiles in the Rockies, but that was in no intention; it was a direct artifact from the Spanish stability map when I did the conversion.

Also, I don't think China's AI should try to send missionaries to convert non East Asian civs to Confucianism. It doesn't make much sense historically for northern India to become Confucian in the 14th century.

It's hard to influence the AI to act that specifically.

I think Confucianism should not have missionaries at all, or they should only work within your own borders.

Yeah, those are good ideas. And I'm aware that, depending on location, some cities have a higher chance of a religion auto-spreading to them than others. So maybe China's and Korea's cities could have a high value for Confucianism, Japan's cities could have a medium value, and for everyone else, the probability of Confucianism spreading to one of their cities on its own should be practically zero.

With the exception of New World civs. If this isn't the case already, I think every new world civ should get America's old UP (the immigration one) as a hidden UP. This way east Asian immigrants can bring Confucianism and Buddhism with them to the cities of North and South America.

The immigration UP never brought religions, only culture. And currently everyone with a capital in the new world can benefit from it.

I have two propositions to do:
*Explorers: Only exploring units should be able to fo to unrevieled tiles. Moreover, explorers should be semiautonomous units, exploring the world for some turns and come back to their home on their own. They will carry their own maps and reviele it to any civilization offer them open borders. They will reviel their maps to home only after returning. This will simulate great explorations, like Marco Polo's.
*Shetlers: Every shetler should be asociated to a religion. The player can build as many different shetlers as many religions are in the building city (i.e. if a city has cahtolicism and islam, this city can build catholic shetler and islamic shetler). When a shetler shetles a city his religion will spread to the new city. If a city has pagan temple (=no religion) then this city can build a pagan shetler. Pagan shetler will shetle a city with pagan temple pre-built. AI will always choose shetler with their religions.

I mean a settler.

Perhaps Burma should be taken out of the Mughal's historical territory, and their historical territory should cover Herat, making it a contested tile.

Also, why are the Ottomans so reluctant to Open Borders with me? We're both Muslim, I got the +4 relations boost for giving them gold upon meeting them, and I don't believe they have an isolationist AI the way Japan does.

I find that Mehmed is somewhat isolationist. Suleiman is much more willing to open borders.

Yeah, I can never get OB with Mehmet even when Pleased, but I can get OB with Suleiman even when he is Cautious.

Oh, hey Linkman, nice to see you around.
