The Three Gorges Dam wasn't even built yet when the list you're referencing was made (in 1994), so that's hardly relevant. Although I agree that the dam in-game should be renamed to the Itaipu Dam--if only because only Brazil has a UHV related to it. The Three Gorges Dam and the Itaipu Dam are pretty interchangeable in terms of impressiveness, each having their own significant aspects.
Yes. You already can't build it anymore. With the new levy armies civic, shouldn't the levy unit be removed? It seems kind of redundant.
The same way military power for the power graph is calculated. More powerful units are valued more, and military buildings and techs count to a certain degree as well. Also, unrelated question, but how exactly is the last Ottoman UHV goal calculated? Does it mean you have to more units than anyone else?
Doesn't look like the city name maps I made for the Maya and Aztecs have been implemented yet, though.
Look into Assets\XML\GameInfo\Civ4EraInfos.xml and the referenced songs in Assets\XML\Audio\Audio2DScripts.xml and AudioDefines.xml to see how songs are defined and added to eras. You should be able to replicate this for your own songs then.I play the current svn version, can I change background music of the modern era and how?
Three Gorges should be renamed Hoover Dam IMO
Maybe even just "Great Dam"? I think it's a benefit that many classical wonders follow this naming scheme because it makes it less immersion-breaking when the "wrong" civs build them.
How do I enable the AI getting UHV's?
Exactly. Even though I would keep Wembley because imo Wembley is more prominent compared to other football stadiums than the Three Gorges Dam is more prominent compared to other Dams.I don't suppose there's any conditional or dynamic way to name wonders? So if China builds it then it's the Three Gorges, if US it's the Hoover Dam etc? Tho' I guess that would be very complex and a bit strange, you don't necessarily want it to be the Three Gorges Dam if China builds it in Beijing, nor would it be appropriate for England to have the Thames Dam.
Maybe Great Dam, Global Sports Stadium etc would be the best option for many modern wonders, and arguably in line with the classical wonders - it's not the Colossus of Rhodes for example.
I might be wrong about this but I vaguely remember working out how you could rename wonders based on who built them. Never tried it though, so still theoretical.
Afaik building names come directly from the XML so unless you hard code something ugly into the GameTextManager unique buildings are the only solution. Which would lead to unintended results in situations like city conquest etc.I might be wrong about this but I vaguely remember working out how you could rename wonders based on who built them. Never tried it though, so still theoretical.
