Do changing avatars confuse you?

The earliest avatar I can recall you using was a sort of ankh symbol, was it that?
I remember a potato on a bicycle. But you've been registered here a lot longer than I have.

I remember an avatar of yours......... kinda. Obviously it had cats in it, I think it had dark colors.... but the rest is a blur.
DING-DING-DING!!! Catharsis wins! :goodjob: My first non-Civ avatar was a small ankh symbol. I vaguely recall having a spider wearing a baseball cap after that, and then I switched to my Spud on a bike. After that I had a random assortment that sometimes had a cat, sometimes words, and there were a couple of Doctor Who-themed ones (anybody remember Romana?). Then I decided to stick with cats. The two that I had before my current one were a Siamese cat peeking out of a shopping bag and Business Cat.

I wonder if people can remember the various themes I used in different groups of avatars.
Portraits or busts of classical musicians? :hmm:

I know that classical had a rose once, and why.

I've had my present avatar for a year or two, I think. I used to have a revolving set of avatars for summer, autumn, winter, and spring, but finally settled on this one and stopped changing it.

I may switch soon though. I've been playing enough League of Legends that Ashe might make an appearance.

When I read posts in forums, I tend to associate a poster with their pic, not their name:
So I'm a red-haired little girl? Can someone from the meetups confirm this?

:p

I thought those were rocks.....

Oh. I thought that was unrelated. :p

Changing avatars do confuse me from time to time, especially when it's quite sudden and people have the same ones.

I have avatars turned off by default, a habit I picked up when I first started forum-browsing years ago. So, changing avatars don't confuse me. I might remember which poster posted what more if I did have them on, but I know the familiar faces fairly well (especially in the Civ3 forums, but also to a lesser degree in OT, and a few prominent posters in other fora, mostly those who used to be active in Civ3 or are moderators). There's only a few avatars that I associate with users - Thunderfall with the battleship and a couple former Civ3 posters such as TheRat (capitalization incorrect).

I recently switched back to my original avatar after more than a year with a different one. I hadn't intended to switch away for so long, but wasn't often reminded that I'd switched.

It's a looong time since I last changed avvie. Should probably do it soon too.

It means you're #1 Joe!

(good thing you're not #2 :p)

I am America, being number 2 is like dividing by zero, it's either not possible or the universe implodes when it happens.

Sometimes. April 1 is a qitch. I was very confused when everyone was Mise. That was wonderful.
