Dune Mod???

have not read all the posts here, so i might repeat but... what about a 'dune' mod? i'm talking about something related to the books, not the computer games, that is no tanks, no guns, no robots. anyone else had this idea before?
 
I was working on one a while back, but real life caught up with me, and my attention had to turn back towards my study. However I'm still very much interested in making the mod, but I can't do it alone. I don't know much about creating units or graphics, and would surely like feedback and ideas for the project as whole.

I would like to help because I was a bit annoyed at all the stuff in the other dune mods that were not in the book (tanks, guns, etc.).
Perhaps hou could just use the other mod and later take out the things that weren't in the book (giving credit to dune mod you took it from, of course).
 
Well the links refered to in my Dune-thread was all to projects that never got of the ground. So there really isn't much to do besides starting from where I left of the last time.

As to units and such I personally don't have a problem with introducing tank and other units not in the book as long as we can keep the feeling created in the books. Also even with a couple of tanks it is hard to get anywhere near the amount of different units in the original C3C. Therefor I suggest keeping units not ín the book, but if you have a lot of ideas for units in the book, that could fill in instead, that would be even better.
