Fall From Heaven NES

Yeah, it should be known that Kol is (partially) correct in that his people support the government. They support it about as much as Amurite support their Republic. There are some people who dislike the government policies, but in general, Queen is sacred, respected, and divine right to rule is not questioned. Also people tend to work fields and care about their day-to-day lives and do not interfere with government, besides paying taxes, and government, besides taking taxes, tends not to interfere too much.

Cardith Lorda probably has more support, or even Perpentach, Calabim are still far away from vanilla FfH Calabim terror.

To the Citizens of Mutambo:

I'm asking you to put aside these petty squabbles that have broken out due to the latest suggestion concerning your trade. This was no means a affront on your freedom and right to rule yourselves, which is the fundamental foundation of our nation, it was a plea to make ourselves and allies stronger. As we have all seen in recent times we have helped a nation create itself, make cities, and find a place in this chaotic world. But now when this nation we helped forged is being test you say let us pull away from them or even let us go against them. This is maddening, it as if we have forged a blade but when the blade is being tempered you ask for it to be left in the flames until it destroys itself. If you are asking for us to leave the Hippus' side you are calling for us to commit one of the grandest sins in the eyes of Kilmorph, to waste the labor of your fellow Luchuirp who helped build the Hippus nation and your own greed rather than support the others of your own nation. All I ask is that we ignore these things that divide our cities while the world is on the brink of chaos to strengthen the Luchuirp nation until peace can be restored, then we may discuss the finer points of our politics.

OOC: Why do politicians always pick the worst time to list their problems. I had big things planned and then this struck up.

To: The Nations of Erebus, The Amurite Senate
From: Lord Agron, Servant of Aeron the Protector

(...)
This is the error in the Senate system of goverment. Your leaders seek to achieve as much as possible in the short term that they serve. Their actions are short-sighted and ignorant! You must have patience, as it is difficult for an entire race, akin to humans or dwarves, to change their ways, their natural instinct!

Lord Agron,
Never has the Khazad Senate criticised your country. We respect other governments, and never tried to overthrow any leader or regime. What have we done to you that you insult our race and call our government in error, short-sighted and ignorant?
You obviously do not realise that dwarves are born from stone, that our clans already lived before Al-ash-ir was founded. The Khazad thrive for their clans, and these clans are as immortal as your noble houses. We can be patient as the rocks we were made from. You do not seem to understand us and our ways. Therefore it is not up to you to call us ignorant.
We ask nothing of you but respect, having never scorned you.

Senator Nuggat Doplin, for the Senate of Khazad.

To Senator Nuggat Doplin

I was refering to the Amurite senate specifically, we were not attacking the Khazad or calloing them ignorant. No, we are most pleased with the Khazad's success in uniting the various clans of dwarfdom togeather, your work is inspirational. My only mention of dwarves in my speech was comparing them to the Vampires. I was saying that, despite our best efforts it is difficult to change the nature of an entire race. The dwarves expirienced a similiar situation to the civilising of the Vampires when they let the Underhome to live on the surface, all those years ago. The success of these dwarves in living in conditions different to those they were created to live in is a great inspiration for the improvement of Vampiric Civilisation.

However, the Senate form of government is very much against our political beliefs, and while we see it has been a great success in the Khazad lands, we know that it could never succeed in our land, where no Vampire would willfully give up their control at the end of their term. We also fear that teh Amurite Senate may be less wise then that of the dwarves, which has been shown by their blatant disregard for the culture of other nations and their short-sighted attack on Vampiredom. We hope they will look to the multiple Dwarvern Successes for guidance in these dangerous times.

We appologise for your misunderstanding.

Lord Agron

I want to have your short-term problems. But you'll recognise evanescence of your problems when The One comes and your so-called Gods will be unable to do anything...

OOC:
Also can I just finally remind you that this is dark fantasty. You lot are all far too idealistic :p.
I agree damn abolitionists. Jopa- I"ll contact you through PM, easier to have a back and forth conversation.

Who are you calling idealistic. I'm selling war machines to the highest bidder and only want slavery gone so it can be replaced by mud golems. Of course that's not the offical word.:mischief:

Soon enough, I just need AutoCAD drawing done.. Send me email so I can reply easier.

Status that you get are, as always, without new turn income and last report effects.

Thanks.

There's still one guy who hasn't responded to the update yet... the star of the show. Algeroth? ALLLLL-GER-OOOOOOTTTTHHHHHHHH....

We miss you. [sob]

EDIT: And yay Hippus!

AutoCAD? That sounds like fun...

I haven't had to mess with AutoCAD yet, and hopefully I never will. The closest I've come was a couple weeks using SolidWorks, which isn't the same at all.

You haven't really missed anything :D

Well I'm still learning it and in truth help it provides in drawing is... immense, and that is modestly said.

You know that this makes them very very unhandy, not to say useless, don't you?

Why, everything missing is written in the report and since you are all literate you can simply add or subtract the additional info.

EDIT: I *DO* plan to do it properly but after writing update I never get to updating stats...

Eh, I'm not an mechanical engineer or architect so so I don't really worry about CAD systems. I'm more on the math side of all that stuff, although I'm almost definately switching to nuclear.

@ Kol.7 - Yeah, that is exactly why I postpone it (imagine doing it for all civs, bot just one your) :p

@ Orange -what do you do? And nuclear is definitely best part of physics. Most definitely. At least in basic theory.

I'm a sophomore studying engineering mechanics and aeronatics at the University of Wisconsin - Madison. So when I say nuclear, I'm talking nuclear engineering instead of nuclear physics - power plants and stuff like that.
