Damn you, Spanish Inquisition!

Why did the cameraman put that log on the tracks?
It's from a silent comedy film, it doesn't need to make sense.
Some context for non-baseball viewers:
a) The Astros are a hilariously bad team right now.
b) The run scored from dropping that routine fly ball ended the game.
I just love the reactions of the guy running past and the guy who has the ball at the end.
somebody forgot how to cat.
If you could find the one of Yoenis Cepedes sliding past the bag, that would be great.
Edit, here are some funny baseball gifs.
That is from one of the funniest movies of all time: The General, starring Buster Keaton.
There is a later scene where they have a train colapsing through a burning testle bridge, before special effects. To film it they had to drop a real train through a real burning bridge, and get it all correct on one take. The movie was mostly down with a recently closed mining railroad.
That sounds awesome.
I've watched The General, before. That scene is very awesome. Since, the film is in the public domain, you can watch it on YouTube, just prepare for some southern pride as the film takes place in Civil War-era US South.
The whole movie is awesome. Keaton was part genius, part lunatic--it's amazing he survived all the stunts he performed. Like this one:
So he was basically the Syd Barrett of the comedy world?
Yeah, Keaton was great. My favorite movie he was in, though I don't remember the name, had a tornado in it, which he rode through on his bed.
