Is it immoral to put a live rat through a meat grinder?

I am curious as to how people argue whether or not nuisance animals like rats deserve moral consideration and why they feel that.

Please do not spam this thread with irrelevant considerations like, "no cuz you'd damage the meat grinder".

Presuming drowning is more humane, why should we prefer it? Why is rat pain something worth avoiding?

Really should kill, bleed, and skin animals before cooking them. That would be an absolutely awful meal with all that hair.
