You're right. They are not the same color. The place where I bought these models from, decided to paint the M109, M270 and M113 in a beige color while their very own M1 in desert was in a lighter/yellower sand color. I thought it looked a bit different. I'm very annoyed right now because I don't want to re animate 3 tanks again.
