New NESes, ideas, development, etc

Some things: Doing Rural economy like das does his economy. So I could use thin black lines to show administrative differences, instead of economic regions.

I applaud this greatly. I've been getting tired of insignificant areas of the world such as Orum who has 2 regions as compared to Guangfei who has only only 4 regions. To say that Orum's territory produces as much wealth and food products (not counting the cities) as one half of Guangfei is absurd :p

And really, the current thin black lines with their ah... random placing is to be blunt kinda an eyesore for a person who likes micromanaging the administrative differences of his nation. :mischief:

NES idea: people are actually the leader, not the country. When their leader dies, the lose control of the country and create a new leader in another country.

Thoughts?

Erm... isn't that kinda what a monarchy is so the power is passed down to the son?

I know I've already contemplated that idea... I suppose if people could designate their own successor, it might work. Then again, the fun of random choosing, given that your successor will likely be insane... ;)

Nope!

will you be using the same kind of army system as das? I believe it allows for greater flexibility
And ease of use. I want to but I'm getting a lot of resistance from the participants of my NES.

Nope!

Ok I'm getting tired of these gandhi quotes. An eye for an eye doesnt make the whole world blind. It makes the world wear an awesome pirate eyepatch.

Nope!

Gandhi was a very intelligent man. Besides which, his quote serves the important distinction of separating my sig into two parts, so people do not think that I'm saying NESing isn't a Conspiracy.

Gadhi was a hallucinating stick man.

an eye for and eye means two men will have one less eye, not everyone in the world! that guys a moron and a racist according to Rmsharpe who is usually correct.

 , that made my day.

"Both eyes for one eye." ;) Although its even better if its done preemptively! :p And Gandhi definitely wasn't a moron, more like an evil genius really. The fact that he's still popular proves that he was a SUCCESFUL one, too. ;)

Anyway, that's rather off-topic. Iggy, I think your idea would be way too difficult to implement properly.

Okay, I believe that this idea was proposed before, but here it is again:

The updates encompass domestic events and such things (plus war results from the previous interturn), and wars are solved between turns, with players giving brief orders for a military campaign in between. This allows better control and more realistic war lengths in a large timescale NES.
