I'm new to these forums, but usually if there's a conspiracy or simple explanation it's not the conspiracy. I'm not inclined to believe Visor and Al bussed Bsmith and acted town to look towny over them just not being on SW Mafia team.

Why prodding scum is scummy? How else do you suggest we catch them? Voting record alone?

I think prodding is neutral. Looks good accompanied by a bunch of solid posts and pretty bad if by itself or as filler with other filler posts. (Just my 2c)

Well, this is dire. What with so many people dead, I'd have thought it would be easier to see who's lurking in the background etc., but apparently fully half the game is lurking today.

For what it's worth, I don't think Visorslash is guilty (or at least of a few things that Martin is accusing him). Yes, he led the end-run on BSmith late last night for no apparent reason, but he always posts a lot and he usually changes his vote around quite a few times.

Why wouldn't I post when my name is mentioned? It seems perfectly reasonable to me.
I don't think I'm keeping a low profile. And what content is it you want? It's not like you post a lot either.

The reason I don't post much is because I don't know who the mafia are. Visorslash, Al Sipsclar and Martin Luther are all under suspicion by y'all, but I could also see that they are towns trying their best. I somewhat suspect those who don't post much, but they could feel like me, or simply be busy.

Not saying that, just the last several games I've been in, the post count total posters have been scum. It's often a good way to look active without providing much.

Yeah, I have been more quiet than usual due to several different things (don't ever bet on being sober enough to play mafia after making a drinking game out of a US political debate), but I'll be more active from here on out. Fall break just started, which means I have a lot more time, and I intend on rereading the thread tomorrow.

I'm not a fan of the Visor wagon at all. Vote:MartinLuther. Still have weird feelings about him, his votes have all seemed really sheepy so far.

As an addendum, let me just say that this post was typed in a hurry, and without reading the thread, as I though that that might be the last time I would get even a brief chance of voting before the day ended. I have a little bit more time now, and I've caught up a little more, so here's an explanation/my thoughts on a couple of things:

When I said I wanted to lynch Robbie on a hunch, that was before I read the thread, and I didn't realize that there was more definite information incriminating him. My vote on Visor was based on a half-baked theory which makes less sense the more I think about it, so I'll unvote, vote; Martin Luther because I don't trust the weird pm exchange he posted. I'm still not voting Robbiecon because I don't like adding an unnecessary vote to a wagon that's already in the lead. I don't know if that's valid or not strategically, but meh.

RE: Cuthilius and Arakhor's exchange about post counts, I'd like to speak on this since I'm usually a proponent of the post count scum tell. It's often scummy behaviour when it's used to both artificially boost how contributive you look to the thread and pump the thread with potentially misleading information by trying to lynch people based on numbers without actually reading their posts. In his case, however, it looks to me like a sincere attempt to try to point out an extreme lack of activity and prod those with a low post count to be more active.

For the record I also have Cuthilius as a mild town lean simply because in his last scum game (Red Dwarf) I was able to read him almost instantly, and I'm not picking up the same vibe in this game that I was in that one. This could also be because Cuthilius is a good player, or because I'm not as good a player as I think.
